This property was just right in every way for my husband and I - the size, the amenities, the location! It was within walking distance of The Edge restaurant, the Market and tubing/skiing.
We’ve stayed all over the mountain and this has been our favorite spot this far. The location is key, it was great to let the teen walk over from and not have to drive. Condo was cute, quaint and very comfy.
My son, his best friend and I had a great weekend at this awesome condo. It was the perfect location, easy to locate, walking distance to a little market that had everything you would need. Condo was clean and offered great amenities. Will definitely stay here again!
Very affordable place to stay for a weekend golf getaway at Wintergreen. Very clean and has everything we needed. Located conveniently right next to the market and lodge, with only a 5 minute drive to Devils Knob Clubhouse! Highly recommend!
Excellent accommodations-definitely stay again if in the area!!
We were in the area for Liberty Univ graduation. It was very clean, well maintained and well stocked with essentials. The location was in a very quiet neighborhood. We took advantage of the Wintergreen hiking trails and throughly enjoyed our time. Highly recommend!!
We had a perfect stay. It had everything we needed…comfort, room for three, deck, kitchen, two bedrooms, two baths. We enjoyed the pool on all 3 days and loved the sandwiches from the market. Hope to go again. Maybe in the fall!
First time Wintergreen visit for us and our friends/couple, and we all liked the condo, furnishings, and its location. Only nits were the noisy HVAC at night (although comfortable) and the open noise exposure for loft room sleepers—although we sort of expected the latter from the description. But overall, above average accommodations!
The condo was clean and cozy, also well stocked with towels, soap, etc. Nice sunset views off the deck without leaves on the trees.
No issues with internet, but TV in living room would not pick up any channels. The host communicated promptly and offered to attempt to call the cable company the next day (which would have been a Saturday), which was appreciated but we declined as we were just there a few nights and wanted to spend our time outside on the mountain.
Tips for getting a hot shower: Do not pull the knob all the way out, modulate the pressure by only pulling it out slightly. The shower heads are high flow but water flow can be controlled by not pulling the knob all the way out. While the pressure is good, the hot water will run out quickly, so try and pull the knob out just a bit to have less pressure but more warm water.
We enjoyed our stay and would come back here again :)
Stayed here for a quick skiing weekend. Overall, pretty good place to stay. There is a short (about 1/4ish) mile hike to the slope. Not too bad in ski boots but can drop off those who don't want to walk by car near the ski school. Older building, only issue is that the hot water heater does not hold much and when it runs out it (think essentially after 1 shower approx 10 min in length) takes quite some time to reheat. Would consider a restay if back in Wintergreen.
Wonderful, comfortable condo with a great location
This VBRO was exactly as advertised....clean, comfortable, a great get-away. It is located on a cul du sac and perfect for our stay in July. We enjoyed coffee and quiet, woodsy views from the balcony. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator and stove which was more than adequate for the amount I wished to cook. We also had access to the stacked washer-dryer. A nice touch was the well-stocked spice rack made available by the owner. The cell, internet and cable receptions all worked as expected and we enjoyed watching the Olympics. The upstairs loft had two twin beds and a full bath which would be perfect for a small family or good friends. The LOCATION distinguishes this unit form many others in Wintergreen. The Market and main lodge are within walking distance and provide food choices from great deli sandwiches at the market to served meals at the lodge. (just be aware that the return walk is definitely uphill. For summer vacationers, access to the condo association's pool is a much appreciated bonus. We had positive notes from the owner with excellent instructions and information for enjoying Wintergreen. This is definitely a wise choice for a VRBO.
The place is great and had everything we need with two parents and two kids, with a super responsive host. The size is perfect and the kitchen is well equipped. Would absolutely stay here again.
The only drawback is the heat/water situation (which I'm guessing is out of the hosts control but I think it's helpful to know when considering). Both are off when you arrive and take awhile to get going. And then both need to be turned off before you leave. This makes the departure morning hectic, especially if you're trying to ski that day - one adult ended up needing to stay back for awhile to take care of things. For example, you have to run the dishwasher the night before so that it can finish running and so you can turn off water. This meant my husband had to stay behind and wash our breakfast dishes by hand. He also had to clean the ashes out of the fire place and take out all trash. The list just felt a little longer and more onerous than most ski houses we've stayed at. Still, the good outweigh'ed the bad here and we would stay here again in a heartbeat, we just would not have bought a lift ticket for that final day for him.
