"This unit was located within short walking distance from restaurants, the marina, and shops. The actual citadel of Monemvasia was about a 10-15 min walk away. A great balcony overlooking the water and Monemvasia on the second floor was a great place to have a drink and relax. It was clean, comfortable, and the sound of the lapping sea put us all to sleep each night. The ONLY thing we had an issue with was the shower drainage. That needs to be fixed. "To start with the (only a few) positives: - The property manager was forthcoming and friendly. - Location of the property is ok: Elafonisos is 10 minutes by car + 10 minutes by ferry away; Kastania cave, Petrified forest and Monemvasia are all 30-40 minutes away. "This hotel is a wonderful retreat. It’s very relaxing with beautiful scenery. Close enough to go explore or just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. The pools are beautiful, the gardens are wonderful. The landscaping is fabulous. We had dinner in the restaurant one night. It was amazing. But nothing compares to the breakfast each morning. I’ve never seen anything like it. The food was absolutely scrumptious. This is a wonderful hotel that I would definitely stay in again."

"Monemvasia is really an interesting, beautiful location. Be aware that this is not convenient - there's a long walk into any hotel there and lots of stairs. Liked: • Beautiful location • Nice helpful staff • Wonderful view from balcony which was nice and large • Great shower (wasn’t one of those stupid hand held) • Mattress fine • Roomy room • Updated • Great breakfast Would have been nice to have hot water/coffee in the room"
