Casa Mirlos is a large and cosy recently built house. It boasts a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living room and dining room. It is located outside the centre of Navaluenga, in a property with holm oaks, and is close to the town. The house includes all mod cons to enjoy in winter or summer. It has a basement specially set for you to have your meals or spend your evenings. It also has a garden with a barbecue to enjoy the afternoons and the magical summer evenings next to the Alberche River in Avila.
Navaluenga is located on the eastern foothills of the Gredos Massif. It belongs to the Alberche Valley, located just before the river reaches the reservoir of Burguillo. It has an altitude of 765 m, and is a part of the Iruelas Valley Reservation, an area that has been declared ZEPA (Area of Special Protection for Birds, according to its acronym in Spanish) because this is where you will find the biggest colony of black vultures of Castilla and Leon. It has a lush and varied vegetation with oaks, chestnuts, junipers, holm oaks, black poplars, ash trees, fruit trees, yews, birches and several species of pines covering its surface.
In this natural area, the town of Navaluenga represents an important tourist centre approximately one hour away from Madrid. Its tourist infrastructure grows every day, and the rural cottages, rural tourism centre, nautical sports, paintball, tree climbing park, environmental education park, and 9 hole golf course invite to come and visit.
One of the best ways to get to know and love our natural surroundings is through the healthiest and easiest activity known to man: walking.
To make hiking easier, the Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking of Castilla and Leon has designed a network of approved small paths that are part of the GR-10 trail. The trails have been divided into different levels of difficulty to make it accessible to a wider audience.
