Respite in the Woods
This is a lovely one-room camp nearby the Black Warrior River. It’s about an hour from Meridian and Tuscaloosa, with T-Town the closer of the two. It’s peaceful, beautiful and quiet. The space itself is cozy, clean and exceedingly well stocked. Jackie, the host, is unerringly dedicated to making everything perfect. The neighboring properties are a bit less scenic, but if you came for peace, quiet and solitude, that’s hardly a concern. There’s a little bait shop at the turn off the highway that doubles as a bit of a honky tonk. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place and this host. Top notch!

Fishing trip
This property was just what we needed for a few days of fishing. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was convenient to the boat launch. The kitchen was perfect for frying up our catch. We'll be back!

Beautiful Home
The house is beautiful, very clean, decorated beautifully. We requested an iron and board, and the host was gracious enough to supply it that evening. It was so hot when we visited. I'm sure, had it been cooler, we would have also enjoyed the outside of the property.

We were in the midst of the wilderness, with everything from the birds singing, the owls lurking, and the house cat purring, it was the most enjoyable experience YET! We really enjoyed the stay.

Just Wonderful!
We stayed during UofA graduation so had a little bit of a drive each day to Tuscaloosa (about 40 min). It was well worth it! This home is quiet, comfortable, cute little sanctuary. No complaints - just wish we would have found it freshman year instead of at graduation.

Delightful Alabama Cottage
My husband and I booked a 3 night stay at this darling cottage. We were in the area for a weekend event in Greensboro. The cottage was extremely clean, modern, attractive, comfortable, and quiet. Well stocked kitchen plus a washer and dryer! Plenty of room for us. Will definitely book again when we are in the area. Certainly deserves 5 stars.

Little Cottage in Akron AL.
My Husband and I stayed for the weekend, this house had such a cozy home feeling! We enjoyed playing Darts and other fun games under the house. It was Very peaceful! It's close to the campground for fishing and exploring. There's a place called RoeBucks Landing at the end of the road with friendly people and good food! We are already talking and planning for another trip to come back!
