Little House Nashville - Guest House

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Little House Nashville is in a historic neighborhood with big trees and sidewalks. Elmington Park has picnic tables, a big field and a bus shelter. Enjoy the quietness of the Little House, its beautiful gardens and patio that have been featured in several publications.

Frequent guests at the family-friendly Little House are parents of students at Vanderbilt and Belmont, couples who come to Nashville for weekend getaways, women's groups, and families.

INSIDE THE HOUSE

The living room also serves as the bedroom when the queen Murphy bed is pushed into the wall. The comfortable Murphy bed has a pillow-top mattress and does not fold when stowed away -- it remains flat.

The dining area also serves as a TV area and sleeping area for more than two guests. Built-in banquette converts to two comfortable twin beds (full length, 30' wide).

The kitchen features full-size appliances, including electric stove/oven, refrigerator, and microwave oven.

Families tend to be our most appreciative guests. Kids have fun in:
- our yard
- patio, paths, flowers, fruit trees
- great playground and field in Elmington Park across the street
- comfortable TV area
- great tree house with comfortable, safe seating and roof (adult supervision required)

Very accessible! Numerous Universal Design features include wide exterior doorways with very low thresholds and doors with lever handles. You'll find low-pitched ramps from street parking to our garden path and patio to the entry door. The shower has no threshold and there are no cabinets under the kitchen or bathroom sinks. We've had excellent reviews from guests who have required accessibility.

Parking is plentiful in the driveway or on the street. Both are within 30’ of the entryway.

LOCATION

This guesthouse is in the most central location in Nashville. Walk to great neighborhoods, restaurants, shops and parks, including Hillsboro Village, Sylvan Park, Vanderbilt University, and Centennial Park.

Nashville's most beautiful historic neighborhoods are all around, and downtown is 3 miles away, a straight shot down West End Avenue that becomes Broadway.

You’ll love this quiet home and garden, situated across the street from one of Nashville's favorite green spaces, Elmington Park.

Get to downtown Nashville in 15 minutes. Explore many of Nashville's best music venues and attractions.

Nashville Little House
Location was prime. I have to say that the housekeeping of this property was unsatisfactory. We were greeted with spiderwebs at the ceiling of the front entrance, and a very large spider. One of the the two washcloths set out had brown stains all over it. Coffee pot had not been emptied. When we removed bedsheets, sickening yellow stains all over mattress cover and mattress underneath had small yellow stains all over it. I sent in pictures to Vacasa. I guess no one cares we slept on these germs. Absolutely nauseating experience.

Great place
The pics are a bit deceiving, the 2 twin beds are actually the bench in the living room, worked out fine for my family. Nice cozy cottage. Would recommend.

There Is No Real Bed
The location was incredible. Very pretty neighborhood and close to Vanderbilt University. The listing was a little misleading. There is no real queen sized bed - it’s a pull out couch. There are also no other beds, notwithstanding the listing providing for two twin beds. The sitting area smelled weird, had a stain on the one chair that looked comfortable and had no batteries for the remote needed to watch TV - we had to grab some at a convenience store. It is seemingly a refurbished garage, which was very evident when trying to do things like shower. It was a fine home base for exploring Nashville.

Cute adorable cottage
Everything was great. We loved our stay. Just a few suggestions make finding the entrance more clear. And maybe at least having coffee on hand for those who stay but go out to eat and just want coffee before starting the day. No matter what though I’d stay here again.

Didn’t last 3 hours. My adult daughter had an allergic reaction to the boho dust collecting decor. No refund after calling or communicating on line.

Cute and artsy but needs more spit and polish.
I got what seemed like a great price (which I needed while my husband is having specialist care at Vanderbilt); but the cleaning cost is far above the level of cleanliness. Once I did some cleaning of my own I felt more comfortable. Upholstery needs a good steam cleaning.

Mismanaged Tired Property
I only stayed one of the two nights booked due to concerns with cleanliness. I spent the entire evening of my arrival, after driving all day, trying to get Vacasa to deliver clean bedding. Finally knocked on owner’s door and he came to wash a fitted sheet and blanket. Do not expect the bedding listed in pictures. I attempted to wash the items above, but the washing machine in the unit was covered in mold. The owner delivered the mentioned few bedding items above after 11:30 PM at night. I would have left upon arrival after realizing no one was managing the property except I have a large dog so I needed to find other arrangements. I have been requesting a refund of my booking since I arrived. I continue to be told by Vacasa that clean linens were available, but no one will return my call from the local office (they e-mail). I have also called VRBO for a refund of my stay, but they leave it up to Vacasa (property manager) to decide. Even the owner told me he was sending e-mails to them and the cleaner. I don’t believe a property manager should be in charge of a VRBO listing. It has been a huge headache for me to deal with this third party. I would not rent a listing in the future if this is the setup as likely you will not get help. The listing resembles the pictures, but is dated and in need of a deep clean (it smells inside). I am confused by the five star ratings, but realized people likely are rating the fun stay they had in Nashville.

Small and Charming vs Large and Impersonal
The Little House in Nashville is small and charming, but Vacasa is just the opposite by being large and impersonal. The other reviews of the house are on target. The house is quirky and the location is very convenient and quiet with space to sit outside. Vacasa- Realize they are a large management company. The phone number you are given will get you to a national representative. Even though the cleaning had been completed before 1PM, we could not get in to the property even a minute early because of the rigid policy of Vacasa. We had been traveling since 2:30 AM and the temperature in Nashville was in the 90s. We were hot and exhausted and hoping to rest. They have a right to be rigid about their policy, but they should realize that their actions will impact how customers view their company. In addition, instead of a security deposit, they require a damage waiver fee of $75. I guess they just assume you will break something. We did not break anything. We will not be using Vacasa again.

Little House Nashville
Overall the stay was Satisfying, Great neighborhood, it was quiet and peaceful. We mainly slept there as we were exploring Nashville and all its surrounding cities. I do want to give a shout out to Jean-Carlo, He went above and beyond in assistance over the phone, with the barroom door (be aware is a sliding door lol) The only cons I will say is they don’t have utensils, or basic cooking spices. We only cooked breakfast 1 morning. So it was not a big deal, but if you are planning on cooking more make sure to take note of that. I will totally recommend this cute place and stay there again. Also please be aware that this property is manage by a third Party called VACASA Thank you.

Dated bohemian return to the 60's
An artistic blend of a beatnik coffee shop & an in-the-city campsite, this rental met all our apprehensive anticipations. The pictures show no beds & there are no beds, but the cushions & mountain of pillows can be shaped into twin beds across the apartment from each other. The kitchen is well furnished, but close the fridge door twice to be sure. The yard was ideal for us with a well-fenced yard and comfortable furniture under plenty of shade.

There are pros and cons to this rental. Just be aware what you are looking for. Pros- cute neighborhood, beautiful patio, very easy with a dog, well stocked with toilet paper, pillows, bathroom accessories. Cons-this is not a one bedroom- it’s more like a studio.decorated very rustic, couches seemed old, floors are cement, bed is small, other beds seemed more like a couch, very dark- not much natural light. Windows are covered with sheet like hangings. This place was formerly a servants quarter, and has awards all around that they preserved it as it would be 50 years ago. So if that is your thing- this place is for you. All in all- okay but we will not rent again as we travel to Nashville frequently.
