At first everything seemed pretty good. We were surprised at how spacious it was compared to previous houses we’ve stayed at in the area before. We admired the new floor and paint. We talked about booking it for our next visit. The property management and owner was good at keeping communication via email. However, lesson learned, we should’ve gone through the house with a fine tooth comb, reported every single crack or damage, no matter how big or small, from the floor to the wall to the ceiling the day we arrived. We were accused of damages on areas no one touched. Even with video evidence with date and time that was taken the moment we arrived. And if you use the grill, make sure you pull it out from underneath the overhang. With no sign or notice anywhere, we were blamed for the black soot above the grill, probably from all previous renters too. Should have been a red flag when the owner only wanted the deposit by Venmo. When I disputed the accusations, the property management said it was up to the owner. When I contacted the owner, he didn’t even want to talk to me or hear me speak. He just said he already spent my deposit on making repairs to the house. We did enjoy our stay and we’ve rented many houses before but this one made my family wary.
