Owner did not notify us in time that we had to bring our own bedding, towels, etc. Cabin is advertised as a nice get away. It’s four bed and a fridge. Would have been nice to know more information before traveling 8 hours to this spot.

We had a great time here, really nice and quiet, also very clean. Will definitely come back here, thanks
A simple little cabin with allot of space. No kitchen, but a little burner I carry in my truck is all I need.

Liked the location…in the forest.
Great value for the price.
Listing should state that bedding and towels are not included and you need to bring your own.
Would stay there again when in the area!

This was a great stay. The beds were comfortable. The toilet and sink were nice to have in the cabin. Showers in shared bath were great! The property is remote, beautiful and there are what seems to be endless places to explore. If it weren’t for those pesky mosquitoes, the fire ring would have been great. I absolutely loved my stay here and would recommend this property for anyone who is planning time in this remote, beautiful part of Idaho. It is rustic, but has everything you need and more for a great stay!
This was a great cabin for our elderly parents who stayed here while the rest of the family stayed at the adjacent Caribou Ridge campsite. It was close to the campsite and worked very well for three adults and one handicapped person. The hallway was wide and tiled so the wheelchair worked well on it. There were four bedrooms each with a twin bed, a library, a kitchen with small refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, and microwave, a card room, and an extra room for storage or for someone to sleep on the floor. It was airconditioned and had a bathroom with a flush toilet and a sink. The showers were not far away in a separate building. Only complaint, if you can call it one, was the bathroom door was difficult to open and slammed back on you if you didn't push hard. We handled it, but it was difficult for the person in the wheelchair. However, they had plenty of help, so it worked out okay. This is simply a great place to stay and I recommend it highly!

Ruby Ridge
My daughter and I arrived around 12:30 am. We got lost with the snow on the roads. Turned around and got stuck for 2 hours. We finally back tracked and watched the video step by step. Finally found the cabin, there was no driveway or a place that was obvious to park. I pulled into what I thought was a good parking spot. I ended up running over a rock that was covered in snow. I wrecked part of my car. I could not move my vehicle off of the rock. We were stuck there until the next morning when I could call someone to come help us out. We entered the cabin around 2:30 am. I instantly noticed there were no curtains on any of the windows, except for the back left bedroom. My daughter and I did not feel safe or secure in the least. There was a horrible energy in the cabin. We ended up taking a mattress from one of the other rooms, my daughter slept on the floor to be next to me. I slept with my pistol next to my head. Neither of us could sleep that night. come to find out, this place is located in the Ruby Ridge area. Please look into it before you rent this place. It would be ideal for a group of guys on a hunting trip. There were no coffee or cups. However, there was 2 coffee makers.
Solid 1600 + sq.ft Log Building. No Kitchen. Small half bath. Showers in Private School bathhouse 200' away.
8 Former dorm rooms. Now 4 bedrooms' a library, a conference room, an office style room, and a sitting room with a couch and comfortable chair. Quiet. Plenty of electric heaters with a thermostat in each room. No a/c.
Finished ceiling with commercial fluorescent lights. Additional lighting is Lamps in each room. Charcoal style BBQ grill outside. Microwave inside. Mini fridge that wouldn't shut off and froze anything in it. Perfect place for my use as a Spiritual retreat where I was not eating till the last day.
We were happy with our stay for a mid November hunting trip. The lodging was as described in the listing. Property managers were very responsive when we found that the Keurig machine was not working. They fixed us right up. Cabin was clean and functional. Low Temperatures outside were in the teens for our whole stay. The cabin heat worked well, the shower facility across the road was clean, warm and functional with super hot water. This rental does not have a kitchen. There is hot and cold running water in the cabin’s restroom. The simple beds were comfortable. Be sure to bring your own pillow, bedding and towels. The dirt road up the facility is in good shape, Jersey barriers the whole way up. Looks like owners have invested properly to keep this road open. Be prepared if it snows, you may need chains, 4wd or both to make the climb to the elevated bench where the camp sits 300’ of elevation above Ruby Creek.
Quiet and relaxing getaway in a breathtaking setting. The cabin is rustic, but cozy. Do be prepared to cook over the fire and walk a short distance to shower, but we didn't mind either of those. There is a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker, but honestly I enjoyed making my coffee and food over the fire more. It is so peaceful and quiet that it feels like you are a million miles away from civilization, but town (Bonner's Ferry) is just a short drive away and has great coffee shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. Excellent property and can't wait to go back!
David Crockett is an amazing host and quickly responded to our inquiries and needs. We had a quiet 43 Anniversary and our dogs are exhausted from many walks.
This cabin is exactly what I wanted it to be. The interior was very clean and kept cool all day. The yard is very well maintained with a fire ring and a nice clean grill. The shower house is a stone's throw away. Closest house is not really even visible from the property. To top it all off the owner is a really great guy. He even took time out of his busy day to check and see if we needed anything, but it never felt like he was intrusive. A perfect score from me for the price. If you're looking for a classic cabin in the woods, this is it.
Hosts were very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. Communication was the best and fastest to date. MUCH appreciated.
The area is out a ways from all the noise and hustle of everyday living. Very beautiful landscapes. Yet close enough to enjoy city comforts if you so please.
Just what we needed to reload. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
Would come again.
A little tricky getting here. Especially if you are uncomfortable opening a gate, but the YouTube video walks you right through it. Beautiful area. Super quiet. Makes you feel like you are the only people on the hill.
Spent a single night s at this cabin. It reminds me of the camp leaders cabin at a boy scout camp. Beautiful area tucked back in the hills. If you’re looking for glamour and extreme comfort this isn’t the one for you. But if you’re into the outdoors, you liked camp as a kid, and roasting marshmallows is your jam this is a good one for you.
Host very responsive, no-frills place to stay but clean and quiet. Only suggestion would be to make sure guests know to bring bedding and towels. Would stay again!

The cabin was a wonderful escape for me ... a Shangra La nestled on the edge of a beautiful mountain valley. I used it as a base camp for a week-long hunting excursion. It is perfect if you are looking for a place to escape the ordinary day to day rat race ans experience a little isolation away from the madding crowd. However, I am an Old Vet minimalist. If you are looking for a typical all inclusive hotel or cruise experience, this is not the place for you. That said, the cabin is clean spacious, and well supplied with coffee/Kurig, small refrigerator and microwave. It and the shower facilities are ugly, well lit, clean and convenient. And David was a great host ... always available to answer any questions. If you like to hunt or fish or just want to explore Northern Idaho on a budget, I can't recommend this place more highly. It was perfect for my needs AND it qas affordable.
The Cabin was perfect for our stay near Bonners Ferry. We were visiting our Son and his family and didn't want to crowd them. So we found this on Vrbo..Rustic Cabin!
We had a microwave, Keurig, mini fridge, outdoor grill and fire pit. Plenty of room- separate shower house.
We enjoyed the views- scenery and quiet. You can really unwind from the pulls of life!
Our host-David was accessible to answer all of our inquiries. Before and during our trip.
Excellent host and property!
We hope to visit next year!
This property is a slice of heaven. Rustic yet comfortable, the mountain views are the most awesome we've ever seen. Our host David was prompt to reply to any questions and made our stay nothing short of perfection. There was a lot of snow on the ground during our visit. The road was steep, but well maintained. We can't wait to visit in summer with our whole family. The property is very unique with many lodging options, including teepee! What a wonderful place for a respite, with charming Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint both close by. This is the Northwest at its finest.
