Located on a private lane just a short walk to town and easy access to bike I paths on and beaches, our property is a quintessential Nantucket getaway. Our property consists of two cottages, duplex style, with separate entrances and decks and a large shared yard (see listing #994545 for our other cottage). There is also a separate studio on the property that the owners use occasionally.
Cottage A (Leeward) has two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and main living room with efficient kitchen and living space. The first bedroom has a full size bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The deck overlooks the large shared, nicely landscaped yard, and with comfortable outdoor furniture and a Weber gas grill. There is also ample off-street parking. Quality linens are included and beach chairs, beach towels and a small cooler are available for your use. Just bring yourself! The cottage is equipped for 4 persons and our occupancy limits are strict.
If traveling with small children, we can help connect you with a local rental company that can provide anything else you might need. Also ask about bike rentals!
Kitchen is efficiently updated with an LG refrigerator, compact stove, microwave and a dishwasher. Everything that you would need for a week's getaway is provided.
The bathroom features marble floors and tile walls with a modern glass shower surround.
Outside you will find a large professionally landscaped yard and a large outside shower. The outside shower features hot water and a dressing area for privacy.
While just a short walk to Main Street for shopping and restaurants along with the harbor area- the cottage is down a secluded lane that is quiet and a great place to relax.
WiFi and a flat screen TV with Cable TV are provided.
There is a security camera located on the end of the cottage building (attached to Cottage B) overlooking the driveway area that is monitored by the hosts. There is also a motion-activated light in the same location to illuminate the driveway after dark (the light turns on temporarily and then turns off automatically). The walkway is lit by solar-powered landscape lighting and there is an exterior light at the front door. Please let us know if you have any questions about these features.
In July and August, we rent by the week, Friday to Friday. Inquire about a monthly rental at a reduced rate and no lodging tax (rental period must be more than 31 days).
As the rental season is short, we have a strict cancellation policy. We recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance to mitigate the risk of disruption due to illness (including COVID), transportation issues, etc. We will try to work with you in the case of extreme circumstances but may not be able to in every situation.
