"A renovated old farmhouse, Aux Mesanges was a cool place to stay. We felt the age while climbing the creaky stairs and seeing the wood beams, yet we also enjoyed the modern renovations. Laurent was super nice, chatting with us about the home and even allowing us to practice our not-so-great French. The home is a bit out of the way and there isn't much in the immediate area, but it was an easy drive to Dijon, where we parked and ate at places that Laurent recommended. He prepared quite the breakfast in the morning, which we also enjoyed. If you're looking for a more personal and unique experience than the typical hotel, this is a great choice!"

"Very well equipped, clean cottage. We received a warm welcome from the owners and a comprehensive introduction to the property. Due to the unseasonably bad weather whilst we were there, we were unable to make best use of the facilities but there were plenty of them, including a heated pool. The only criticism was that the chairs in the living room were not very comfortable but I imagine guests would normally spend their time outside where there is plenty of garden furniture."

"The hotel was lovely, in a great location. The food in the restaurant was absolutely spectacular; one of the best meals I've had in years. Some of the decor in the hotel is a bit dated, there didn't appear to be spare pillows, and we had a separate loo with no sink, so you had to go around to the main bathroom to wash your hands. Apart from these two issues, would have given five stars."
