"The property is a delight. The manager, speaks excellent English, and his wife were both so friendly and helpful. The property is in a quiet location near beautiful Sotorua Beach. It is so calm and relaxing. Shimoda is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 30 minute work. There is only one restaurant within easy walking distance and it is excellent. Suggest upgrading to a room with a private outdoor bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay."

"Our stay at Beachside Inn Shirahama was wonderful. It is such a friendly yet laid-back place with clean airy rooms and only a two-minute walk to the beach. The breakfast is tasty and the private hot baths are a fabulous bonus. Highly recommend!"

"It was nice staying at this guest house Shirahama. It was only a few minutes drive from the Shirahama Beach. Also the restaurant was nice. Breakfast was only 500 Yen, but it was really delicious! The staff were polite and friendly, and the room was clean and quiet. I will definitely stay there again."

"the property is little difficult to find through google map. very near to shirihama beach. common toilet and common bathroom. neat and clean property. the owner is very nice man and ready to help. "

"Meget autentisk - japansk. Særdeles venligt og imødekommende personale. Stedet er placeret oppe på en bjergskrænt - der er ca 20 min til fods til stranden. Retur tager det lidt længere, da det går stejlt opad. Byen (Shimoda) kan man komme til med bus"

"The reception was kind. The towel was a nice smell. I got plenty of hot water from the shower. Buildings are old, the surroundings such as washbasins are rather odorous mouldy. People who are allergic need to take attention."

"Up a steep drive to a welcome that every traveller looks forward to. Warm, honest in a beautiful house with views over the sea to die for. This family hotel treats you like a member of the family and is there when needed but leaves you to enjoy your holiday. We even were given a lift to a local restaurant for our evening meal. "A very quiet place, perhaps the season, walkable distance to train station. The ride along the coast was enjoyable. I had the best Japanese breakfast there overlooking the sea! Well arranged, excellent taste. A great sushi place across at the wharf at the end of the building and also great seafood to be had in town. "

A slice of Izu Paradise

"Such a lovely stay for the price!! We felt spoiled with all the amenities and the location. It felt like a tropical paradise! The staff were incredible and everything was easy for us non Japanese speakers. A highlight was the Onsen and laundry facilities! Would definitely recommend this hotel! "
