Great location, cleanliness was ‘ish
Loved the location… we had a dog, but so did the earlier guests, and you could tell. Sofa in living room had leftovers from those before us, as did their dishes and pots and pans. For an oceanfront home, you’d hope that a paint job might would have been professionally done. Disappointed in the house, but delighted with the location.

Vacation Nag's Head
Hello, We loved the location of the house, so close to the beach. However, when we arrived the A/C on the top floor - where kitchen and family room is located - was not working. it was 85 degrees on the top floor. I called Vrbo and they quickly sent a technician to the house. He could not fix the A/C but put in two window units as a temporary solution. It took 2 days before the issue was fixed. We also found the cleaning not very well done. There was sand all over the floors when we arrived, and it was obvious the floors had now been washed. The stove is old and when cooking the first time, we had large flames from under the frying pans. The pans under the electric heaters were extremely rusty and old. A set of new pans are definitely needed immediately, before a real fire starts. The kitchen was not very well equipped with cutlery etc. The screen door on the top floor out to the balcony fell off when we first opened the door. I understand that this is a vacation home, but not having any A/C upon arrival, is not acceptable, especially with the high price we paid. The WiFi is spotty at best - when we called about it we were told - it's the Outer Banks, this is how it is. Some days we could not even get the TV's to work. We have stayed at several places in the area before and have never had any wifi problems. Again, it is a great location and the house is big and roomy, but it definitely needs some upgrades. Price was high with all the problems. Imperato family

Property was really great for all nine of us Jeepers. The bottom game room was ideal for storing our doors, so we could enjoy the sun. We loved the openness and the morning sunrises were spectacular from the top deck. We didn’t want our 3-night stay to come to a close.

Nice House but.....
This was a nice spacious house, but the experience could have been better. I did not receive a text notification until 8:45 PM saying the house would be ready at 4:00 PM. 8:45 was when we received the entry code. The email notification was received at 5:44 PM. The floors were dirty and Vacasa had to be called. They did send someone out to clean them. I was told my cleaning fee would be refunded, however I have yet to see that. The drip pans on the stove were extremely dirty and one actually caught fire when we were boiling water. Again, Vacasa had to be called and they did replace them. The shower handle in the master shower was broken off and sitting on a shelf in the shower, so it couldn't be used. Again Vacasa had to be called. It did get replaced in 2 days. There were ant traps all over the kitchen counter. Many of the blinds in the house were broken, and some were dirty. The drip pan on the gas grill was filled and dangerously close to catching fire. Vacasa did remedy the problems I called about, however they shouldn't have occurred in the first place. The place should have been ready to go upon our arrival. There were multiple interruptions to my family vacation, having to be around to let people in to fix the problems. It was extremely disappointing.

Very stressful experience
I am currently writing this review a little over a month after my supposed vacation stay. After spending what could only amount to days of call time with customer service and numerous chances for both Vrbo and Vacasa to make this right, it’s time for me to share my frustrating experience. I was unable to reach the home on the day of check in due to an evacuation of the area. I purchased insurance through Vrbo, so while my husband and I were in the car on the way, I called to make sure I would receive a refund if we turned around and to ask what the next steps were to ensure the refund would be processed as soon as possible so I could rebook a trip at a later date. I did exactly as instructed, however, my claim was denied and I am continuing to get the run around between Vrbo. Vacasa, and CSA, the 3rd party travel insurance company. I am distraught, stressed, and have lost sleep over this issue. Vrbo and Vacasa have never once called back when they have promised, so I have had to call customer service consistently every 72 hours and start over with a new agent. The hold times are astronomical. I feel robbed and cast aside, and if I learned anything in this experience, it’s that purchasing cancellation insurance doesn’t guarantee your money back in an emergency. I would also think twice about booking with Vrbo or Vacasa, who are clearly too busy to take care of their own guests.
