"Loved our stay in Novotel Nara. Probably the nicest Novotel I’ve been too. The public hot baths and relaxation space was amazing. The hotel is really new and modern, beautiful views from the rooftop terrace and executive lounge. We stayed two nights in Nara at two different properties. I wish we’d spent two nights here. It’s not walking distance to Nara park but only one train stop away."

"The hotel was clean and convenient to both the train station and the park/area. The one negative is that the hot springs/ public bath that is advertised is an additional charge once you arrive at the property. "

"Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms with efficient and unobtrusive elevators. Well above average attractive restaurant for all three major meals. Responsive concierge services 24/7. Only a couple of the overly numerous front desk staff speak reliable English. As in all Japanese hotels I have used, very poor TV offerings in English, almost pointless. I have stayed at this hotel for two to three week stays in three of the past eight years as I have family in Tokyo. Would have been more except for stringent Japanese COVID restrictions. Entirely honest in billing. Fair costs but well above average for travelers with budget worries who should probably stay elsewhere."

"Some things may be a little outdated in the Nara Visitor Center & Inn but it is the best bang for your buck in town & the staff was outstanding - so friendly & helpful! I’m so glad we decided to spend a couple of days in Nara instead of just doing it as the day trip that it is so often marketed as. Nara is it’s own destination & my favorite part of my whole whirlwind journey through Japan."
