"Excellent beds and pillows. The room felt safe. Enough space to dry out our clothes. The instant coffee was hard to enjoy but at least they had something to boil water. The water also was excellent. Great people! "

"The host left our key and directions to our cabin at the check in. We were pleasantly surprised by a larger cabin than we had booked. We didn’t see the host until we checked out two days later. The kitchen was functional. No towels were provided for bathing. The northern lights were visible both nights we were there. "

"Wonderful area, loved our room with nice bath soaps and products. The common area was convenient as well, and the beds were supper comfy, out into had a porch with lovely views as well. Check in was a little confusing but it is a new facility so be aware of that and they are still building it and creating their process, will stay again! "

"My son and I were traveling and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was close to many sites. The breakfast was great and had so many choices. We also celebrated my birthday with dinner here. The food was very good and our waiter was fabulous!!"

"This property is very remote but a great option to break up a long drive between Myvatn and the east coast towns. Lots of different buildings for overnighters with a restaurant on site. Beautiful scenery and so peaceful. "

The woman at the front desk was very kind and gave clear directions to my room. Although I did not eat breakfast in the morning, it looked delightful as I was checking out. "We loved our stay at Abba's beautiful farm. She and her family are very welcoming and friendly. The dogs, horses and sheep were adorable and the setting was peaceful. The rooster was quiet until about 10am! We really appreciated the gluten and dairy free options at breakfast and the delicious, homemade rhubarb jam. Thank you for a lovely stay! Maybe we will be back for the 100th!"

"Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean. Loved the fact that they had two pillows per bed....yeah!! Our host was very kind. We had a great breakfast delivered to us the next morning in a lovely bag. There was so much we ate half of it for lunch! It was great walking to Godafoss in the evening and next morning. The two visiting sheep were awesome and came with a great story! I am rallying behind the two siblings who managed to escape their fate, not once, not twice, but four times!...

"This cabin is beautiful and tastefully decorated. Host/Team is very responsive in helping us with the check-in etc. Very functional home - easy to cook and wash up in the kitchen the Icelandic chocolate snack is a thoughtful touch. "Fosshotel Mývatn is a gem in North Iceland! This was my second time staying here, and once again, it exceeded expectations. The rooms are modern, cozy, and offer incredible views of Lake Mývatn. The staff was warm and helpful, and the on-site restaurant served some of the best meals I had on the trip. It's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding natural wonders, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area!"

"Aged rooms but very clean. Restaurant was excellent! Lobby is comfortable and we got very lucky to experience an incredible Northern Lights show! All staff was friendly and helpful! Pool table and darts were fun. Espresso machine accessible 24/7 helped us stay awake for the show and warmed us going in and outside all night."
