Shamwari, , set just 100m from the clear, turquoise waters of Mystery Bay, is a traditional, homely beach cottage with 2 bedrooms, (1 queen, 2 single), 2 bathrooms, (2 showers, 1 bath), fresh linen supplied, laundry, kitchen, dining-lounge and spare room to put all your luggage, pram, cot or beach gear, etc.


Abundant birdlife surrounds in the national park and bushland, many peaceful tracks for a stroll or pedal.
Echidnas, bandicoots and wallabies are regular visitors.

Ample parking for vehicles and boat, drive in, through, and out, no need for reversing.

Experience sandy beaches fringed by rocky outcrops, headlands, fishing, swimming, surfing, snorkelling and kayaking all at your doorstep. Enjoy a bbq on the private front deck while taking in the glimpses of the ocean while the back patio affords privacy and wood fired piizza oven, all within a colourful garden setting.

The choice of three entertaining areas is great for that holiday enjoyment. In the cooler weather, soak up the warmth and ambience of the cosy indoor wood fire.

Only 10 minutes away is the attractive town of Narooma with all the modern conveniences of shopping, cafes, indoor pool, golf course, bowling club and RSL.

A 7km drive takes you to the quaint heritage village of Tilba.

We had a lovely weekend staying here, the cottage had everything we needed. Only a short walk to the beautiful beaches. A great place to stay, we hope to be back one day.

Mystery Bay retreat
Stunning area for beach and National Park walks at your door. No WiFi, wilhivj is fantastic to give our bodies an EMF break. Wonderful host.

This is a great property to stay in! Close to the beautiful Mystery Bay and surrounding beaches, which are stunning. The house is great, the fireplace was so lovely to sit around on cold winter nights. The host, Ev, is lovely too! Thanks for a great stay

A truly relaxing getaway
The house was very comfortable and perfectly set up- the pizza oven was a lot of fun and the location was very quiet and relaxing- I loved the front verandah!

This is a comfortable stylish home. Perfect position, you can see the sea and the woods from the veranda. Lovely back garden with lots seating areas and pizza oven. Comfortable beds and quiet location. Lovely touches, welcome bottle of wine and picnic foods.

Lovely cosy house
Loved staying at Mystery Bay - Eveleigh's house is very welcoming and comfortable. A highlight is the beautiful garden and its many bird visitors including king parrots who will eat out of your hands. It was only a minute's walk to the beach which was great. Note that it is a phone/internet dead spot and there is no wifi so come prepared for that!

Lovely quiet home
My partner and I had a wonderful holiday here. Sitting on the porch watching the beautiful birds, walking to the stunning beach, and the best sleep in comfy beds. Our car broke down and Eveleigh our host was so kind and helpful, and the neighbours were so welcoming they even took me to town to get supplies. We didn't want to leave. We can't wait to go back. Thanks Eveleigh for being a super host.

Cosy and clean beach house. Everything you would want. The host, Eveleigh has gone beyond the norm and added lots of little things like welcome biscuits, pantry items , flowers and more. My dog was also very welcome. Great backyard and close to the beach

Little slice of paradise
Everything about Eveleigh’s cottage is great, the size , the amenities for everything involved in a beachside holiday and the closeness to the beach is brilliant. I Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would consider going back one day. Thankyou Eveleigh, for everything, the milk, cheese and bottle of wine on arrival were lovely and made me feel most welcome.

We had such a wonderful stay at this lovely home. It was clean, cosy and you can sit on the front lawn and see the ocean. Mystery Bay was a perfect place to unwind and the water here is divine - pristine and perfect for swimming. Ev was a lovely host and we enjoyed going for evening strolls and meeting all the lovely neighbours. We will be back and we thoroughly recommend this holiday house to anyone.

Great price.Great location. Great host. The stress just melted away there. Walk to the beach, sit and read by the fire. House was spacious and clean and well supplied. My partner struggled a bit as it is a black spot for reception and internet but I didn't! Loved our stay.

The Beauty that is Mystery Bay
Outstanding property that is 50 metres walk to some of the most scenic beachs on the Australian East coast. Sunny aspect on the balcony for breakfast and a warming fire in the lounge/dining room whilst playing cards supported by a bottle of local red wine. Hot showers & a bath meant there was also some down time after exploring 1080 beach.Cottage is ideally situated 10 minutes from Narooma and Tilba. Would highly recommend

Home from home
This has to be Australia’s best kept secret. We just felt so at home. Everything was exactly where we needed it and Eve surprised us with some delicious treats which we really enjoyed. The location to the beach was perfect and the beach and sea were pristine. We were also very lucky to have perfect weather. All in all it was exactly what we needed and we’ll be back with the children and grandchildren. Thank you Shamwari 😊

Good Vibes & Relaxation
Upon arrival we were immediately captivated by the garden setting and the welcoming aspect of the home. After exploring the property we felt an overall sense of relaxation and tranquility. Our host Ev welcomed us and provided a run down of our accommodation and the surrounding area, she made us feel welcome and at home. Beach cottage charm
This place is an absolute gem, a traditional old style beach house but with all mod cons. The host made sure it was sparkling clean and equipped with everything we needed. We have stayed in a lot of holiday accommodation, and the presentation and cleanliness of Shamwari was impeccable. Ev is a very thoughtful and caring host, great in communicating and available to answer any questions. The cottage was a great spot for a 'digital detox', as there is no internet in the house or mobile reception inside (although 2 mins walk up the road is good Telstra reception). Leave the mobile and pc alone, and enjoy the magical beaches of Mystery Bay!
