Nice for the price
The large balcony over looking the beach was what attracted us to stay here. Unfortunately the furniture was not as nice as what was pictured but it does look like other units had nice furniture. We did have a tropical storm move in and water began leaking from the air conditioner into the room. We had to use our towels to keep it dry. We contacted the company to let them know and request more towels but no one ever got back to us. Disappointing but we ended up just doing laundry and cleaning the towels so we could use them the rest of our stay. Overall we would stay here again and would recommend for the view and price.

Great Value!
I booked this for the oceanfront view, and the spacious patio. Both were excellent. The room was clean, king bed comfortable, kitchen well stocked with essential cooking items. Not a huge room, but perfect for just me on this solo trip.Beach chairs, an umbrella, and a soft cooler were a nice touch, also. Easy short walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were nice to have there also. Tiki bar was a little pricey, and not much for munchies, but fine for a quick drink or two. My only negative, was that it is far from a lot of the spots I wanted to hit. But, plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. I would definitely book here again.

Great oceanfront location, missing basic necessities
Walking out onto the balcony, hearing and seeing the ocean so close was the reason we booked this place and wanted to stay here. We got the security pin for the lock sent to us earlier in the day and got in without problems. Unfortunately we were on the road traveling in the days leading up to our booking and didn't read the part on the email the day prior that they provide 0 "paper products or toiletries". This should have been transparently communicated earlier and/or at least given 1 role of toilet paper to do people over. There was some dirt from previous guests on the kitchenette cabinets and with them not providing dish soap it grossed us out to use any dishes as we weren't sure if previous guests bought dishsoap... so we just bought disposable items to do us over. The actual unit was nice enough and provided what we needed, really we just wanted to spend time outside on the balcony. The unit was relatively quiet and enjoyed our stay. Parking was hard to find in the attached parkade but convenient when finding a spot that you could just walk to unit directly without going through building. Initial impressions of walking through the parkade to get to unit is not great as building is dated and not the best maintained (but unit was OK). You can walk down to the beach and rent chairs/umbrella from the city for a pretty expensive price or pick up something from a store in town. Location was convenient for hitting up the places we wanted to around the Myrtle Beach area.

My husband and I along with our 18-month-old son enjoyed most of the lodging accommodations except for one safety problem. Other than the upstairs units AC constantly dripping onto our deck which caused a never ending puddle which was less than pleasant but that puddle caused our son to slip and fall backwards hitting his head on the cement. Our son was within arms reach of us and wearing shoes while walking. That is my only negative comment about the unit we stayed in.

The property was as shown on the online listing. The balcony was beautiful and the beach to die for! The only problem was the loveseat, it was really uncomfortable to try to sit on to watch TV so we played a lot of Rummy!!!

The condo was clean and looked like the pics. The hotel itself is rundown. The mattress in the condo was awful, so bad we actually checked out a day early cause we could not sleep on it another day and when I emailed about it, they didn't seem to care, just hope we stayed again. No way would where I checked out a day early due to the mattress. Anniversary/Mother's Day ruined over the mattress.

The Caravelle is in an excellent location on the beach. The building is a bit dated, the upper levels of the parking garage were blocked off due to construction so there was noise and dust and we could not always find a parking spot. Overall we enjoyed our stay, especially the large deck

Amazing ocean view
This is our second time at this place and we enjoy ourselves every time. It’s a cute little condo. I recommend getting a better mattress and some new pans for cooking but that’s just minor. Close to everything. January is much colder and more places closed cuz it’s off season but for those who like no crowds I suggest mid February - April because more things to do cuz everything opens back up mid February. The price is amazing for large deck ocean front. Definitely will come back

Great ocean view…noisy fridge kept us up at night
Firstly, I want to say I am not your typical “Karen” leaving a review and I rarely do these. This place has the perfect ocean view. The large deck was nice, but the overwhelming smell of marijuana made it hard to enjoy most of the time and was annoying & the marijuana skunk smell was even all over the grounds from the parking garage to the hallways, elevators and even inside our car! Add’l Issues: front door had a non-working deadbolt lock; smoke detector was located on top of the fridge & not on the wall over the bed where it should be; the freezer fan motor in the top of the fridge must be going bad because it made this god awful noise about every hour 24/7 which kept us up all night! The toilet seal was leaking water onto the floor. We seen one roach crawl accross the floor, but my husband was able to kill it; small nat problem in the kitchen area; parking was an issue because the top 2 floors were blocked off which caused us to have to park accross the street. The unit overall just seemed neglected and needs some TLC. This was a non-smoking room & it smelled like it had been smoked in.

We had a nice time. It was raining when we came in but information we received prior to arrival told us about the parking garage and being on 5th floor so we went straight to 5th floor of parking garage and to the unit. So that was perfect. The fridge is insanely loud every 2-3 hours for a about 3-5 min at a time. It woke us up frequently. Otherwise good.

Do not stay here! GROSS AND DIRTY!!
We have stayed at Caravelle Resort many times in the past. This year we rented through VRBO (Ocean Breeze). When we checked into our room, we were informed that a large bag would be on the table with bed linens, towels, etc. It was not in the room. After multiple calls to Ocean Breeze, they informed us that they could not deliver the large bag to us until the next morning. My husband drove 30 minutes (after driving 8 1/2 hours) to go pick up the bag from Ocean Breeze. No apology was given by Ocean Breeze employees. Also, when entering the room, the enterance was not clean. It looked like the person who "cleaned" the room walked through with dirty shoes. The linens and towels had stains on them, the ceiling of the room had black mold on it, there was large bugs on the patio. The unit above us had and AC unit that was leaking onto our patio and we could not walk out the patio door without getting wet. We spoke to the renters, who were leaving in the morning, and they placed a towel to stop the water. We spoke with the front desk of Caravelle two (2) times to ask that maintenance look at the until. They did not come. Anytime you took a shower, a shot of extra hot water would spit out. If you rubbed up against the wall, your hand/arm/leg would have a black smudge mark on it. The fridge would keep food cool, but not cold. The fridge door would not shut tight. The oven door was barley hanging on. I could keep going on and on and on. We will not be coming back.

Ocean breeze property management was fantastic to work with. The cleaning crew needs to be checked in on. The floor had been swept but not been mopped. We went into the trip with an open mind about the property as a whole. The building was dated as expected but well kept. The walk to the beach was easy and quick. Literally in the back yard. I would suggest letting future guests know that the beach is umbrella ONLY, canopies/pop ups are not allowed. This is strictly enforced. My only complaints with the room is the floor not being mopped and there needs to be more light in the bedroom. I also opted to pay the $5 per bed fee to be made upon arrival. Neither the main bed or Murphy bed were made when we arrived.
