WELCOME TO BIRDIE'S II !

You will enjoy staying at our condo on the second floor overlooking the large pool and vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Experience the warm rays of sunshine in the morning and view the moon at night while you listen to the sound and sight of the surf. You are just steps away from the pool, the beach, and barbecue grills. A short walk down the hall will lead to a fantastic lazy river, a kiddie pool, hot tub and a heated swimming pool. You will find something for all ages.

This one bedroom unit is comfy, clean, and tastefully decorated for your vacation pleasures. While the condo can accommodate 6, we suggest 4 people offers ideal comfort.

Our condo is equipped with a TV in the bedroom and living areas, a full size dishwasher, and hi-chairs and table on the private balcony.

IMPORTANT: Please note that this is a NON-SMOKING condo. Violators will forfeit their security deposit.

Perfect!
This is the second time I have stayed at a unit owned by this family...both in Myrtle Beach Resort. The unit is perfect for my mom and I and our annual mother daughter vacation. The view from this unit is just amazing. The balacony is by far our favorite place to spend time. It is comfortable and cozy and perfect for two people. The hosts communication is excellent and very quick to respond. We cant wait until our next stay!

We had a wonderful time. Loved the location and amazing beach view. Didn’t notice until the day we were leaving that there were cabinets on the opposite side of the counter with pots and pans in it. Lol. Didn’t do a lot of cooking though anyway. Would absolutely stay in this location again.

The stay was perfect. If we had to make one criticism (which has nothing to do with the owners) it would be the slamming of the pool gate. Most people would close it gently but new people would let it slam. Maybe a note from management would be helpful.

Cute lil condo with great view
Overall we had a great time, as we typically do while visiting! I've been coming down to Myrtle for several years now, and this was my son's 3rd trip down. The condo was perfect for my toddler and I. Had a small hiccup with a dead battery in the door lock, which was quite horrifying having my toddler with me. But communication with the owner was quick and a locksmith was on-site in less than an hour to fix it and get us in! Besides that, our stay was great and the condo had almost everything we needed!! Loved enjoying my coffee and the view from the balcony each morning watching the sunrise and the dolphins!

Great location for small group
We love Myrtle Beach Resort, and this condo has a fabulous location within the property. We made use of the balcony, beach, pickleball courts, indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and steam room and visited the QuarterDeck more than once for live music. A couple things we might have wanted to know heading in: The bedroom has a window that faces the hall, and even with dark curtains on it, the room never gets quite dark at night because of hall lights. The bunk beds are really only for smaller kids, as they are very narrow. Also, information about our first entry at the resort gate wasn't clear. We were given the gate code and told there were passes in the condo for our car, but when we arrived and guards asked if we were just getting there, an honest answer meant we were charged $20 for another pass. In hindsight we should've said no and entered the gate code that had been sent to us, then picked up the passes from the condo to use for the rest of the week. Not a huge deal but wish that had all been made more clear. Overall, a great deal for the price!

You can't deny the view, but....
The view from the condo was amazing as expected; however, we did experience some issues inside the condo. Many of the issues inside the condo dealt with cleanliness and could be remedied with a deep cleaning of the unit (as a review from April 2021 mentioned several of the same issues we still noted during our stay) as well as a few minor maintenance items. When we made the owner aware of the issues, we unfortunately were told that "you get what you pay for" so I am assuming that for the price I paid, I should not expect a clean condo.

Very little notice of construction/very unclean
Booking process was good and the location/view were awesome. The place needs a deep clean. Kitchen is disgusting. We were told 10 hours into our 12 hour drive there was construction and we could get a refund if we wanted. Notice was very late and I’m sure it was known about well before this point. The construction was the addition of a window behind the bed. There was plastic taped over the hole on the inside and a board over the outside. You could hear everything. This on top of the very uncomfortable bed meant very little sleep on vacation. The property owners response: you could have booked a hotel room when I offered a refund. Do not book this place.

Overall great and clean with a couple cons.
The stay was great and the condo was comfy and felt like home. It’s definitely COZY. It was clean! I’d recommend just a couple or a family with small kids. My in laws were suppose to come but didn’t and it’s a good thing, I think it would’ve been cramped and a hassle to open the couch to a bed every night and close it just to have seating. But it was fine for my husband and I and our 7 year old and 6 month old. We had an issue with the door locking but figured out you can’t press the green unlock button on the back or it won’t lock when you go out of it. The tv was a little aggravating at first because there were 2 remotes. One worked fine and turned it on and off and changed channels, if you tried to use the other it wouldn’t turn off correctly and kept going to some other way to change channels. The next thing, the photos on VBRO aren’t what the condo looks like now, but it was an upgrade for sure. There are rails on the bunk beds now which made it safer. Need updated photos. It would’ve been nice to know that there are beach gear in a closet and we didn’t find that til the middle of the week after we had already bought beach chairs, so that was a bummer to waste $60. One thing that concerned me was the squeaky floor in the shower, sounded like I was going to fall through. There’s something undisclosed about that because the bath math is superglued down or something… seemed fishy to me, even though the owner assured me it was fine. Anywho… I loved being ocean front and getting to see the sunrise daily, I got some great pics! The description says the indoor pools are heated but they were not warm and the lady I called at the resort said they weren’t temperature controlled. I just think she didn’t want to deal with it because the outdoor pool guy told me to contact the building maintenance and they could do it, but I wasn’t sure where they were located. So overall it was great! Visit Pawley’s island to find amazing shells!! Oh and the kitchen sink you can’t turn on just a little because the handle will just fall back down and it can kind of make a mess because the faucet can go over the counter and splash everywhere. There were a pair of earbuds under the head of the bed that weren’t ours.
