The Space:
Brookie Box sits in the quiet countryside of Myrrhee, with Wangaratta being the nearest rural city. Wangaratta is known for its notable wine region, charming historic architecture, and easy access to natural wonders like the Ovens and King Rivers and the stunning Alpine National Park.
This retreat is nestled along the serene banks of 15 Mile Creek in a private area of the Brookfield Maze site. From the front deck, you can enjoy breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, with the hills bathed in vibrant orange hues as you relax by the fire pit and soak in the serene ambiance. Nearby, a charming garden and hedge maze offer a whimsical space for exploration, stargazing, and quiet reflection.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
If you plan to spend your tiny house Victoria retreat here. We kindly advise guests to bring their necessities, such as food and water during their stay. Thank you.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We ask guests to keep noise levels to a minimum during their stay, especially after 10 pm, as sound travels easily in the valley. This helps us maintain a peaceful environment for everyone, including our neighbors.
Occasionally, we may launch hot air balloons from the same paddock where the tiny home is located. We will provide advance notice to guests before any balloon launches occur. No open fires allowed during fire season.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings. Moreover, guests are welcome to explore the gardens, venture into the maze, and stroll down to the creek at their leisure.
However, we advise against entering the maze after dark due to the risk of becoming disoriented. If you wish to navigate the maze in the evening, please seek approval from the hosts first.
If guests wish to explore the maze after dark, they must first obtain permission from the hosts.
Please be informed that we close the maze for February every year to do maintenance and upgrades. Guests are still welcome to enjoy the gardens but may encounter people working with lawnmowers and hedge trimmers. We try and accommodate guests and so far people who visit during maintenance periods have been okay with the experience.
