"Husband and wife on a short two personal trip. The reception was exceptionally professional. The room was very clean with a well maintained boothroom and bed. The mattress was too soft for us. Everything worked as advertised. Hot water and rain shower all times of the day. They provide freshly laundered pool towels though the pool is a bit neglected. "You have to remember that this is a very remote location. On basis of that the food is very good. The setting is amazing so peaceful. The hotel does not sell alcohol, this is not very clear on the description above, so has led to some negative reviews. The food is a buffet which changes each day. "The reception when we first arrived was a bit frosty. The restaurant breakfast service was extremely poor. Our Valley view room had a toilet roll holder you find in some office buildings where roll is locked and tissue is pulled though a small gap. Two days in a row, the tissue was trapped and could not be pulled out. Each time this happens you hsve to call reception to get it sorted. I am sure I am not the only one to experience this so why not resolve it? One day we came back yo the room...

"The hotel and its staff are absolutely amazing. I have a severe nut allergy, so traveling to India is a bit nerve-wracking. Unfortunately, on the first morning, I had a reaction at the hotel breakfast. The staff sprang into action and got us transportation to the hospital. The F&B manager even came to the hospital to check on me. Luckily the reaction wasn't so severe, but the way the staff handled it was very impressive. Big thanks to Abel and the Port Muziris staff."
