"Everything great"

"Clean and close by to the train station, 5 minute walk. Great location for a short visit to visit Venice. Room and bed was clean. Washroom was clean there is no stand-up shower there is a handheld shower head. Could use an update in the shower as there was a bit of mildew. Common area was nice and clean , there is a fridge, stove and kettle. Overall the place was fine if you just need a place to sleep. "

"Second time staying here and can’t recommend it enough. The room is very comfortable and clean. The first time staying here we arrived by plane and had to take Venice water shuttle. This time around we arrived via train and it was much more convenient to find the hotel using the water ferry to the Casino stop. Highly recommend staying here. "

"The hotel was incredibly easy to find, check-in was smooth and the bell-boy was lovely. The room view was not as expected, but the fact that we were so incredibly close to the Rialto bridge made up for it. The location was very advantageous. Excellent room, in antiquity-style. "Very nice stay in a gorgeous room, well stocked bathroom, with all amenities. Location is great for all of the sights you come to Venice for, though you do have to go a little further out to find good restaurants. Daily cleaning and mini-bar stocking was great. Could have done with a larger bin for rubbish within the room. The only friction really was trying to figure out the check-in process if arriving outside of hours (8am-4pm). "The room provided plenty of space to move around and was very comfortable. We even had a balcony. The location was walking distance to all major attractions. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. We had continental breakfast delivered every morning and it was included. I would definitely recommend Al Portico Guest house for your stay in Venice. "
