"We enjoyed a relaxing 12 days at Christiane’s lovely property making the most of the outdoor seating options and large peaceful grounds. Our dog enjoyed playing with Swing, Christiane’s dog. Christiane was very helpful and hospitable and gave some great recommendations for local sights."

"We spent 3 wonderful weeks at this lovely property that has been equipped and finished to a high standard. It is easily one of the best properties we have ever stayed in and the air conditioning is fantastic and was very much appreciated when it was 30+ degree heat outside. It worked brilliantly and kept the house nice and cool inside which made our stay very comfortable. Christophe (the owner) gave us a very warm welcome and was absolutely superb throughout our holiday, we were even fortunate enough to meet his lovely wife. The house is situated in a beautiful tranquil location where we saw deer and other wildlife. It is perfectly located to go and see the many sights of Perigord/Dordogne and is only a 10 minute drive to the nearest town that has restaurants, small shops and supermarkets. We would not hesitate at all to recommend this property, the only problem we had is that we did not want to leave!"

"We were expecting difficulty in finding this property, deep in the Dordogne, but Google maps came up trumps. The time taken to reach it after the main roads ran out was, however, a small problem. The property was lovely, spacious and in a beautiful garden space with wide views of the countyside. Our hosts were very kind and helpful. Fully outfitted kitchen, some kit was missing - no kettle - but I imagine the very hard water makes that problematic. We used a lovely barbeque, provided by our host most days. A very good supermarket 20 minutes away in the car, and basic facilities in the village."

"We just stayed in Sylvette and Alain's villa in the heart of St Alvere for 2 weeks Spotlessly clean fabulous old stone house with traditional beams and exposed stone walls. Fabulous heated pool with far reaching views over the french countryside. Large terrace with lots of areas for eating with an electric awning. Main bedroom has a fabulous shower room en suite all air conditioned Chez Julien is about 9km away and is a must for the beautiful setting and food. Saint Alvere has a couple of restaurants and bars and is about 3km away and is very picturesque and quaint. We were welcomed by Sylvette and Alain with a bottle of wine and some delicious rillette and prune chutney. They then left us to it but answered any questions we had really quickly. Beautiful place which we would highly recommend"
