This recently updated 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is perfect for your next getaway. Sitting on a large lot with 333 feet of river frontage, our home boasts a vast yard with relaxing outdoor space and wide open living area.

LIVING AREAS
The large, fully furnished eat-in kitchen with a peninsula is the perfect gathering space. Whip up your favorite recipes in the gourmet kitchen, equipped with sparkling solid surface countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a table for six. Unwind in the living area, where a large sofa and reclining chair surround a smart TV. The large picture window fills the space with natural light and offers unobstructed river views. The lower level features a second living room with a couch, reclining sofa and smart tv for more space to relax and unwind. The sliding patio door allows easy access to the lower lawn and picturesque river views.

BEDROOMS & BATH
Two bedrooms feature king size beds, while the third bedroom is a queen size bed. The upstairs full bath contains a large tiled shower. The lower level includes a second full bath with large tub/shower.

OUTDOOR AREA
Gather on the screened in porch, featuring a dining table for six and additional seating for relaxation and conversation. Cook dinner on the gas grill located on the deck and dine overlooking the water.

The home is conveniently located 1 mile from the Almar Acre boat landing for launch in the Wisconsin River. Tie your boat up at the house for easy river access. Plenty of parking at the house for your boat trailer. Note: Swimming in the Wisconsin River is not advised due to the swift currents. We recommend life jackets while near the shore and in the water.

LOCAL TO DO’S
Visit Spring Green (20mi) to see a play at American Players Theatre, visit historic Frank Lloyd Wright's home, Taliesin or visit the unique House on the Rock attraction. The House on the Rock Resort also features 27 holes of championship golf.

Wild Hills Winery is a premier artisanal winery, cidery, farm, and orchard nestled among the rugged beauty of the Driftless region of Wisconsin and is just a short 3 mi drive.

Outdoor lovers can find numerous waterways to canoe or kayak and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. The Pine River Trail in Richland Center is a 14.3-mile trail that’s laid on an abandoned rail bed, and gives riders a chance to enjoy the beauty of 250-foot river bluffs without having to ride over them.

Bring your UTV/ATV to explore the gorgeous countryside. 13 townships in Richland County have opened their roads for use. This allows for many different route options and you can even venture to neighboring counties and towns. Plenty of parking at the house for UTV trailers.

You can also explore the quaint shops and eateries in the surrounding small villages all while enjoying the beautiful rolling hills of the Driftless region.

The house was beautiful and a perfect location right on the river. It was our first time away from our children in 4 yrs and it was the best relaxing getaway ever! We will definitely be coming back again next year.

Perfect riverfront getaway
My partner and I spent a long weekend here and completely enjoyed ourselves. The house is serene and perfectly tidy. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch watching birds on the water. This property is also a great home base for exploring other interesting towns in the area: Boscobel, Viroqua, Spring Green, etc. We will definitely be back!

Awesome family vacation
The Orion River House is beautiful both inside and outside! The river views are gorgeous and the owners provide many opportunities to just sit and enjoy the views. The house was so comfortable and well furnished. We didn’t want to leave.

Great couples weekend. Property is beautiful. Home is gorgeous!!! Homeowner bent over backwards to accommodate our check-in and check-out. Recommend a trip to Wild Hills Winery but if you have time check out Wollersheim Winery.

Quiet, secluded but centrally located
We chose this rental for its proximity to Taliesin and House on the Rock attractions. Situated along the Wisconsin River, the house was quiet, secluded but only a short drive to Spring Green. We also spent the majority of our time on the large screen porch, having morning coffee or eating our meals there. The home is well stocked and we appreciated the large stacks of firewood/supplies for nightly bonfires. We loved the Wild Hills Winery, only a few miles away. They offer Woodfire Pizza and live music. Lots of places to sit. We also enjoyed a movie at the Starlite 14 drive in theater in Richland Center, about 15 miles from the home. Highly recommend!!

Gem on the Wisconsin River
Tried a new place in the Wisconsin River and it delivered! House was beautifully decorated with amazing views of the river. Nice and secluded, place to have a fire and enjoy the stars. The screen porch was a favorite to relax and see the beauty of the property. Hope to be able to return next year.

I hosted 4 friends at this home. The location is filled with natural beauty and the screened in porch was our favorite space to gather. Because we’re between 67-80 we did notice a few things that would have made the accommodations safer.

Nice Place for a weekend
Check-in was super easy. The house was clean, although a few missed areas. Some basics were missing: dish and dishwasher soap, grill tools but not 100% sure if I was supposed to supply them. There is wifi but no cellular coverege for miles. This was a very charming place and we enjoyed our weekend.

A Beauiful Home on the River
The River House is beautiful, and the setting right on the Wisconsin River makes the experience even more amazing. The interior of the house is as attractive as the photos indicate, and the well-stocked kitchen was a perfect place to prepare meals and socialize. The weather was cold when we stayed at the house which kept us from spending much time outdoors, but the views from the porch were just as beautiful and relaxing. The owner has indicated that an additional bathroom and family room are being added to the lower level. When those additions are complete, the house will have even more to offer for families to enjoy. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great week on the river!
We loved our week at the River House; the home was spotless and check-in/out was a breeze. There are views from the kitchen, living room, and our favorite, the screened-in porch. The house is separated from Highway 60 by woods, and there is plenty of room for kids to run around safely. Very pleasant and relaxing to enjoy the river. We enjoyed the cheese from Meister in Muscoda, APT in Spring Green, the House on the Rock, canoeing on the river, biking on the Elroy-Sparta trail, and a visit to Wyalusing State Park on the Mississippi. There is a grill with a natural gas line that was fantastic to make dinners. Since there's noise from the highway (and a plant in Muscoda at night), it's not completely silent, but it's a beautiful and relaxing spot. Make sure to stock up on items at the grocery in Muscoda if you're going to be cooking. There are lots of games for families and a smart tv. Although the best rainy day activity is just enjoying the view! Can't recommend the Orion River House enough.

Perfect sisters weekend
3 of us stayed for 2 nights at this great house. For us it is all about the views and these were lovely. Very private and quiet. House had everything we needed and was cute, comfortable and very clean. Would stay there again.
