ovely country property away from the business of town
Almost new cabin. Beds comfortable kitchen well-equipped. Darling full-length balcony with chairs to enjoy the late day. Beautiful fire pit with more comfortable chairs. Good internet and TV. Would be glad to spend two more months there anytime

Sweet Cabin
This was one of the best rentals in the area--very clean, comfy and true to the description. Pretty area and close to town. We enjoyed walking our 2 pups down the road and playing corn hole on the deck during a passing thunder storm. Great place! .

The Lazy Moose - A Perfect Retreat
We wanted a long weekend getaway and the Lazy Moose was the perfect fit! Super clean cabin with all the amenities. Had games galore available, they even left snacks out for us. Plenty of wood for the open pit fireplace out side and a remote control operated gas fireplace inside fits all fancies. Well equipped designer kitchen, everything was great for our stay.

This is a very nice and well-maintained property. Just 10 minutes from Murphy. The host was very attentive and communication with him was timely, easy, and very cordial. We really enjoyed our stay; we'll be back soon.

Quiet and comfortable getaway!
We travel to the mountains of GA/NC at least twice a year over the past 20+ years and it take a lot to impress us now...we were impressed! -Easy to get to while still removed from sounds other than nature! -Perfect size for 4 people with comfy seating, large deck space, beautiful fire pit area and sizeable bedrooms and baths! -Beautiful and whimsical decorations, clean and well kept! -Quick access to downtown Murphy (10 min), local lake and marina for boat rental (10 min) and casino (20 min). -Lazy Moose was exactly that for our family this trip...lots of time on the rockers, couch and near the firepit enjoying the mountatin air....

Quaint/VERY CLEAN Cabin
Cabin was in close proximity to Murphy, Morganton, Blue Ridge, Mineral Bluff. Stores not far. Road was gravel and well maintained. Owner communicated promptly with questions. Would DEFINITELY come back!

Everything was good till the people came in below us totally out of control. Woke me up at 1 arguing. You also need grab handles coming out of the shower s. They came in Thursday. Beautiful cabin . Picked up more dog poop tan I wanted to when we got there. . . Not motorcycle friendly.

Just Sublime! We’ll be back!
The home is rather new. We’ve used VRBO many times since the around 1999. This, while the second smallest house we have rented, is one of the top two or three nicest. 2BR/2BA. Two of us with our dog. The beds were very comfortable. The main BR bed was softer than the 2nd BR. It all depends what you want. The deck is HUGE!! The fire pit in the back was quite enjoyable. The kitchen was stocked with enough pots/pans/dinnerware/spices that we were able to cook some very nice meals. Accidentally left some random food in a cabinet. Oops!! TV had Roku plus enough other features we were able to watch what we wished. VERY comfortable family room. The name ‘Lazy Moose’ is all over the house. Many funny decorations using the theme. Plenty of parking. Easy to find…basically the end of the private road. VERY quiet. Various animals stopped by including five wild turkeys. We’ve always enjoyed Murphy. Great little town. Good food, good people. Hanging Dog Convenience Store…turn right onto Hanging Dog Road from the driveway. Very good food and a nice store. Beer? Ingles. ABC store, in town as well. Have fun. We’ll be back. Too relaxing there to stay away.

Comfortable and Cozy Cabin
A big thank you to the Carlson family for sharing and hosting such a wonderful cabin to stay in. The cabin is at the topmost point on the hill compared to other cabins along the road. The grounds are well organized, and the space is small and simple for a family, or couples get away. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Towels were neatly folded with mints, body wash and shampoo and conditioner were conveniently provided, and toilet rolls were neatly folded lending a nice presentation upon checking in. A welcome and rules booklet that was most informative about activities in the area was provided. The whole cabin was cozy. The gas fireplace easily heated the cabin for those cold winter nights. The outside fire pit was accommodating with benches and was in the center of a nice gravel that stone flooring assortment. The internet in the cabin was excellent. We even luckily had cell phone service in the cabin which is spotty in these mountainous areas. Brent was easily contacted and very helpful for any issues that may arise. The cabin kitchen was well stocked with supplies such as coffee, creamer, spices, and cookware. If you intend to use baking sheets or metal roasting pans you may want to bring your own, there are some glass casseroles available for other dishes. I highly recommended this location and the scenic views surrounded by trees and hills and just far enough off the beaten path to be peaceful and quiet. The town of Murphy is about 10 minutes away for supplies. Thanks again!

Cabin was nice and as described inside. Road and parking not the best for trailer and motorcycle.
Had a good time and enjoyed the cabin after we were able to get trailer and parking for trailer figured out.
