" It’s called HOSTEL Balai not Hotel - BIG difference. It was closed on arrival (14:00) so no 24hr reception. The staff left in the early evening so only guests left in the building! The bar was shut. The room was small and hostel-like It is very rundown. Only stay for a night if you have to. Lack of staff worrying for women travelling alone. "

"Great hotel right in the centre of the old town. The staff were warm and welcoming. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast offered a great choice of food and fruit. Hotel atmosphere is unique with peace and quiet in the central courtyard. Definitely a unique experience and well worth a visit.
