"A lovely place to stay. Very friendly, very clean, great breakfasts - especially with Tom's useful hints about places to visit - and a lovely pool. Not under their control obviously, the only downside was the lack of restaurants around. But the kitchen facilities were brilliant, and the supermarket was only a short walk. The bus stop is really close, and the bike hire was great. A car would give you access to more eating options."

"There is a chambre d'hote feel to this little apartment at the rear of a house belonging to a friendly young family. Occupants have use of the garden and private access via the back of the garden. The ensuite shower room seems brand new with excellent shower. I think this is a new venture for the owners and there were some "teething problems". There was no obvious access to free wifi and the owner never mentioned it. Perhaps some printed instructions would have helped. There was also a problem...

"This is a very special place to stay - the rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is not just a croissant with some jam, it is absolutely delicious and creative, lovely cheeses, tomato salads, beetroot with herbs, local meats and wonderful breads. "This B&B is extremely special and I would highly recommend it. It’s in a beautiful location with a terrace overlooking the Charente river. "We had a lovely stay here. The reception staff were really welcoming and helpful. I was a bit surprised because the room picture was of twin beds with space between, but it was made up as a double. I was travelling with my son, so ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which was easy to pull out, had a bottom sheet already on and additional pillows etc were in the cupboard.
