Everyone I shared a room with was cool and there were security features in place to keep items protected while out and about in the city. "We were nervous arriving at this hotel as some reviews were horrific! We were delighted to find that the room and en-suite bathroom were absolutely spotless. Yes, the stairs are a bit grubby and *very* steep but so were every other stairs we came across in Amsterdam. Yes, the beds are probably narrower and closer together than some other hotels, but they were absolutely clean and combined with the fantastic location we were delighted at this find. "It is shared accommodations, and you should pack your own set of bed sheets, blanket cover, and pillow case. Probably better suited to a longer stay. A nice place to meet other travelers. Breakfast was nice. The proprietor is agreeable and welcoming."

"I booked this hostel because it was closest to where my son lives. It's in a lovely neighbourhood with loads to do in the evening and good transport links into the city and convenient for visoting my son too. My room was large and very clean, and was cleaned daily during my stay which I hadn't expected. The staff are really friendly and it was perfect!"

A lovely anniversary break in Amsterdam

"Myself and my husband have had a great stay at the Monet garden hotel. The staff were very accommodating on arrival and when we needed to keep our cases at the hotel whilst we explored on our final day in Amsterdam they allowed us to keep our bags in the baggage room. The breakfast was excellent with the food being fresh and tasty. We loved being close to the City whilst also being in a more ‘calm and relaxing’ area. We will definitely return! "

"Absolutely stunning hotel we had an incredible stay at the Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam. The location is perfect and it’s very close to the Anne Frank house. Each morning, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast with a view of the canals. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our experience memorable. In the evenings, we explored the vibrant neighborhood, discovering charming cafes and unique shops. Overall, our time in Amsterdam was enriched by the comfort and hospitality of the Pulitzer."
