We were absolutely cat fished on this hotel. The photos look nothing like the room we were provided. Hotel staff was pleasant, however, the elevator was broken for half of our trip, we had 5 bags and were on the third floor of the hotel and couldn't even fit in the elevator with our luggage. When arriving to our room the bunkbeds seemed to be made of Temu material. Very cheap and wobbly, questionable for the top person to be up there. The bedroom window was coated in some sort of dried liquid and you could barely see out of it. Now let's start with the bathroom. The light was a desk lamp that you had to turn a switch on for, the sink would not drain any water so you can imagine it was disgusting and the spout itself was entirely rusty. The shower had no actually "tub" portion to stop water falling out. The "rod" was 2 PVC pipes hanging by a wire from the ceiling and came apart multiple times. The curtain was cheap and hung by plastic rings that also kept coming unattached. When you turned the water on it was so loose on the hanging showerhead attachment, that the showerhead would turn and spray the ceiling. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable stay, we were lied to by Expedia and expect a full refund!! Photos for proof if they would let us share them!!!!! Unbelievable, especially after a full day of travel and just wanting to shower and be comfortable!!!!

We had five guests in the room with a double bed and four bunk beds. The three of us in the bunk beds loved our sleep. Which surprised us. We enjoyed the walkable location to the main square and all of the restaurants nearby. The price was great for five people sharing the cost and given the location. We had to pay $40 for parking in the parking garage down the street for one night.

Hotel room is clean but small. Bathroom is tiny, with toilet, shower and sink all jammed in together. Hot water was good though. No facilities at the hotel other than a hairdryer and soap, not even an in room kettle/coffee maker. You have to buy a coffee for 2 euros in the lobby. However it served is purpose as cheap safe place to stay and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of choices nearby for food and coffee in the morning.

We arrived prior to check-in and the employee allowed us to park in the hotel lot (underneath the hotel) prior to check in which was great. The staff members were friendly and eager to help. There is no air conditioning which seems to be the norm, but the windows allowed a nice breeze. Short walk to city center (maybe 10 minutes).

Disappointing Stay - Not Worth the Price
I recently stayed at Hotel am Sendling Tor, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the major issues I encountered during my stay: The amenities were severely lacking. The Wi-Fi connection was weak and unreliable, making it difficult to work or stream anything. Additionally, there was no air conditioning in the room, which made the stay uncomfortable, especially during the warmer days. The hotel is way too expensive for what you get. For the price charged, I expected a much higher standard of service and accommodation. The experience felt like staying in a budget hostel rather than a hotel. The overall ambiance was dreary and did not justify the cost at all. It's clear this place is a tourist trap hotel, designed to take advantage of its central location while offering subpar services. I would not recommend Hotel am Sendling Tor to anyone. There are better options in Munich that offer a more pleasant experience and better value for money. Save yourself the disappointment and book elsewhere.
