"We spent two lovely nights at Chilcabamba. It's modern and comfortable, but also has character. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lodge is in a spectacular setting in the countryside, with direct views of Cotopaxi but also another volcano, Pasochoa. Because of the altitude, the Cotopaxi area gets cool at night but the rooms have wood-burning stoves so stay warm. Chilcabamba also has a nice restaurant and comfortable lounge. Overall a lovely refuge on the fringes of the Cotapaxi national park. We hope to go back."

"We stay at the Hacienda el Porvenir for one night. And let me say I wish I could have stayed longer. The staff makes you feel right at home. They welcome you with some empanadas and the traditional canelaso. The downside to staying at the Hacienda was we couldn’t enjoy what the place had to offer I totally recommend this place. "
