"Lovely and large room with king bed and a fire place. Ensuite was also large. They also put hot water bottles in our bed at turn down - such a lovely gesture. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Food good and fresh too. We also saw a Golden Monkey there too. Nb. Worth noting that the laundry service doesn’t include ironing/pressing."

"All the staff were very nice and warm and made us feel very welcomed. Starting from the manager, Kai, who checked us in and explained everything about the property to us, to the service staff who brought us water, the staff who started the fire in our room and the the waiter who served us during the meals. Small touches like cleaning up our boots and loaning us the gaiters. Chef coming out to ask what we liked. Really appreciate Ed"

"Nightmarish experience. I was traveling with a friend who wanted his own room. We booked this hotel at the last minute as it was close to the NP HQs. We arrived at 7 pm to find no front desk, just a bar area that was manned by a young lady who stated that we couldn’t stay as the owner had not been paid. Then the owner called stating that it was late so we could stay and that payment could be discussed in the morning. The hotel did not have wifi as advertised, there was no running or hot water...

"This hotel is absolutely horrible! It is incredibly overpriced, at the same rate as a Luxury Hotel, but they have service comparable to a Motel in Rural Alabama. They don't have a restaurant, they have a cafeteria with a fixed menu. The portions are tiny (cheap) and I left each meal still feeling hungry. They do not have internet in the Rooms. "it is a good stop over to volcano national park. about 20 mins drive. the property is okay. it was well kept. the room was gorgeous but the mattress was terrible. it is hard and gave me backache. the breakfast can be made better. the staff is nice. "
