"We had a fabulous stay in the Ancient Unicorn. We were a family of 4 and also had our dog with us. We stayed in the Charles Dickens Cottage and it was outstanding. When we arrived, the cottage was warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly. The location is great for exploring the area. We look forward to coming back in the future."

It was more a guest house than a B&B, with the main rooms, including the kitchen, available to everyone. Guests avail themselves of supplies and facilities to make their own breakfast. "Cannot recommend enough. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The whole place was spotless. The attention to detail was amazing from slippers and dressing gowns in the wardrobe to the cool down mat for straighteners (great for the ladies). Had the best nights sleep as the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. "

"Perfect for 4 couples as we could all have our own bathroom. Bathrooms were all modern. Bedrooms delightfull. Lovey comfortable lounge. Great kitchen so we were able to cook and eat in the dining room We also managed to get a motor bike and a car in the garage!! Highly recommended "

"The property was very much as described. The lounge, with it's oak panelling and bay window was a delight to spend time in, the addition of the bookcase door was a real novelty. The kitchen was very well appointed, the bed was soft, with a heavy (possibly down) duvet. Not exactly my preference, but still comfortable and definitely warm. The bathroom was fine, although the hot water was occasionally short lived, it was easily managed. Overall, my only gripe was that it was a touch chilly, not...
