"This is a charming villa set in a hilly enclave just north of El Campello. We chose NOT to rent a car - so we stayed local (from Alicante to Villajoysa is easy/cheap to do by tram). The tram stop (and local wine/grocery merchant) is an easy 10 minute walk - take a backpack and its easy to do your shopping and be back at the villa. "After our stay we did not get our €500 deposit back and they took another €150 from my credit card. They emailed saying that they’d taken it because of a “damaged or thrown away cot”. There was no cot in any of the rooms when we got there so we definitely did not damage one or throw one away. I have tried to contact the owner to dispute this but they are ignoring me. I raised this with Vrbo over a week ago and they told me they have escalated the issue but I’m currently down €650 which I cannot...
