"Very comfortable room, food, especially oxtail, very good and great dom pedros. Service very good and attentive/friendly staff. Not much to do/see in the hotel (gym under construction). Views are lovely and sitting by the pool very relaxing. Very nice bathrooms with bath. The corridors on the ground floor very cold and austere but the room does open out onto the balcony. "Picked imbali as a good place for a short 3 day safari. Food portions were large and of good quality . There are some areas where the wood at the lodge and around the property need some replacement but overall didn’t detract from a lovely setting . Would have been nice to have a transfer from local airport Skukuza included in the cost...

"The riverfront location was stunning and teeming with wildlife. We saw hippos, elephants, baboons and even lions right in the camp, and every meal was delightful under the shade of the big tree. Our lodging felt palatial, with our own plunge pool, outdoor deck and cabana, unlimited bar fridge, and total privacy. "We enjoyed our stay @ Safari Plains. Arriving we were received by such friendly faces. The Luxury Tented Chalet we stayed in were overlooking the field where the game came to graze. We enjoyed the morning & afternoon game drives with the well informed guide, Ben. On our first night we had an open air dinner prepared by the chef and staff, it was amazing! We most definately recommend a stay at this 5 star lodge it will be an experience you'll never forget. ALL the staff made our stay fantastic. "
