"The stay was quite pleasant except for one evening. We had told the owners we were staying with family for a night but plans changed. When we got home we had no heat for the evening but it was too late to contact them. It would have been nice to have some control over the heat since one of the parties was older and handicapped. Other than that, the place was very clean - perfect for 2 people. "

"We picked this house for a family reunion and to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. We couldn't have chosen anything better. The house itself is lovely with 5 good bedrooms, a spacious dining room and plenty of outside seating on the terrace. The best feature though is the garden, secure for kids and the family dog and absolutely massive. As per description the kitchen is small, but in combination with the conservatory it worked fine. Hopefully we can return at some point in the future."

"Our experience at Daniele and Pascal’s house in Thannenkirch was a 5-star experience. Daniele and Pascal were charming, generous, friendly, and helpful which, of course, helped make our stay a memorable one. The house itself is a gem and we didn’t lack for anything. It’s close to most areas of interest in the Grand-Est and the beauty of the region filled our hearts. We can’t say enough about our 3 weeks at La Randonnee – highly, highly recommend it. "The house is very beautifull and wel equiped, everything you might possibly need is there. The rooms are even more beautifull than the pictures show. Only the communication with the owner and the housekeeper was difficult. It was not clear for us how to check out and in. And we received a strange SMS message from the housekeeper that we had to pay 100 euro extra, which was not true..."

"Wir haben im Haus von Olivier zwei tolle Tage verbracht. Die Sauna ist für 2-3 Personen top. Der Wherlpool hätte sauberer sein können. Wir haben es nicht reklamiert, da wir ihn nicht gebraucht haben, deshalb beschwere ich mich nicht. Olivier hat auf alle Nachricht schnell geantwortet und ist uns mit einem späteren Check out entgegen gekommen. Es war im Haus alles wie beschrieben und es gab eine toll ausgestattete Küche, in der wir für bis zu 12 Personen gut kochen konnten."

"Rien à ajouter par rapport aux avis précédents: tout était très bien. Le chalet était petit, mais bien mieux équipé que la plupart des grands gîtes. Les placards et l'agencement font qu'il y a de la place. Dès lors, nous ne nous sommes jamais sentis à l'étroit.Le temps était parfois très froid et humide mais le chalet est très bien isolé et le chauffage fonctionne à merveille!De plus, le propriétaire est accueillant, gentil, discret.De superbes vacances!"

Quiet house with beautiful hiking trails to recharge your batteries

SPACIOUS, COMFORTABLE, WELCOMING

"The apartment is spacious, large even, with a large kitchen-dining area, a large master bedroom plus a second bedroom (bed comfortable), spacious bathroom/shower/toilet, comfortable lounge room with TV, excellent hot water, very well equipped and furnished, many power points. Claude and Brigitte are friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts, despite our weak French and German we communicated ok. The location is extraordinarily pretty; the drive up the valley into the Vosges from Selestat takes you through gorgeous scenery and pretty villages. House number 24-25 has ample parking; it is situated on the hillside. Surroundings are peaceful. Walks would be wonderful. Pity we had only two days; it would be ideal as a base for driving to vineyards and caves, as well as significant villages and towns."
