They certainly knew how to make us feel like we were an inconvenience from check in through to fixing problems, having breakfast and checking out. Things didn't feel great at the beginning so I had a chat with hotels.com support and we stayed as at least we got into our room.
The first thing to say is that in a little while this might be a great place to stay. I got the impression they were new to it and almost everything was undergoing extensive renovations. It was impossible to chill out in the afternoon as the noise from the renovations made it impossible. Breakfast was very noisy too as the works had already started. Also, the breakfast menu said pancakes and fruit but when challenged I was told it's only pancakes. Nice as they were, I don't understand the lack of fruit. Anyone staying should be aware that the swimming pool is only knee deep except for one side which is deeper. There are no warnings about this or advice not to dive in. As I said, I think they will get there, but even at check out they were banging on the door at 1000 sharp to get us out of the room as quickly as possible.
