"Wanted to try the 3 Valleys for our first ski trip to France and found this chalet on Vrbo for a March trip. We arrived Sunday, skied Monday to Friday, and left Saturday.Choosing where to stay in 3 Valleys was tricky, but I'd recommend Meribel—it's centrally located between Val Thorens and Courchevel, making day trips easy. I initially considered VT for its altitude but was glad we chose Meribel, as VT felt more crowded.The chalet is a 4-min walk to a free bus (5-min ride to Chaudanne lifts) or 20-min walk. There are après-ski bars & restaurants nearby. The ski room is handy, though Intersport (where we rented) doesn’t allow overnight storage—ask the hosts about another ski shop that does.A big Spar supermarket is a 5-min walk, with a butcher, plus another shop nearby—handy for self-catering.The chalet exceeded expectations! We were one couple three individuals (no kids), and all rooms had double beds. The downstairs bedroom was the nicest with a living area, while the top room had more space also but only had a bath but only a handheld shower head for washing (still fine). The middle rooms were good with ensuite showers, though beds here were a bit short for tall people (if sleep straight). Beds in general were very comfy. The outdoor jacuzzi was perfect after skiing!The hosts were amazing—when our airline lost our bags, they retrieved them for us while we were skiing. Super responsive and helpful throughout our stay."

"We stayed for a week, had a superior and a classic rooms, so could compare the two. Very clean, comfortable, enough storage space, great bathrooms both of them, though I will book superior only next time as it is more space .The breakfast is outstanding, we had a late one each day and it was full of options . Would go back at any time. We didn't book the hotel's restaurant ,as we preferred dining out in different places, so can't comment on that. The hotel is only few minutes easy walk from gondola, taking you up to Meribel in 30 minutes. The reception staff is so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them, giving such good information about skiing and hotel surroundings. Brides-les-bains is a quite little town, but Meribel is so close and full of life . "

"The hotel itself is fine and the staff are excellent. But to describe the hotel as "ski-in/ski-out" is wholly misleading. The exit/entrance involved a dangerous traverse across about 100m of sheet ice. The hotel itself recommended against using the route, instead suggesting using the free shuttle. That runs about every 90 minutes, so is basically useless. So don't stay here if you don't want to have to drive to the resort each day. Also, don't make the mistake of buying the full Paradiski area pass - this hotel is so far at one end of the area you'll never make it over to Les Arcs and there is loads of skiing in La Plagne "

" Should have read the reviews before booking, I experienced most of the negative comments i read in the reviews including unfriendly and unhelpful staff ( rarely someone at reception even at advertised times), penny pinching and hidden costs ( had to pay for sheets and pillow cases and buy our own toilet roll) no parking, an advertised pool that shut at at 6pm, a broken Jacuzzi. "

"If you don’t have a car, it is very difficult to get around as taxis and uber are limited in the area. We had multiple taxi drivers say yes and cancel. Rooms are dated and weird smell coming from the carpet. With limited transportation, we chose to eat at the hotel restaurant which was not good. We booked through Expedia and chose a pay at hotel option - and had picked to include breakfast and access to the spa. The hotel denied that we had chosen that option. Expedia said they couldn’t do anything because I chose pay at hotel. Hotel refused to give me the lower rate because we never did get breakfast or spa access. Definitely not worth what we ended up paying. My recommendation: Stay somewhere else. "

"12/30/24- HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY. We had to catch a train at 5:55 AM. Cit'Hôtel le Welcome was the perfect place for it. Really less than 5 minute walk to the train station, therefore easy access to both the train and the Altibus to the ski stations of the Savoie! We did not spend much time there to enjoy the area, and the proprietor seemed very nice. We were in and out very fast. Quiet area, clean room with the necessary essentials. With a great imagination my daughter said the hotel reminded her of the movie "The Shining" with a green glow in the dark hallway. But I thought it was charming. If you have to catch a train or come in on one and need to take an early bus to a ski station, this is a wonderful place. They also have a kitchen serving breakfast and lunch. I would return any time. "
