"The reviews are a little mixed for this hotel, but thought to still give it a go. Yes it's a little older hotel, not a brand new development. However the building and grounds are well maintained and inside is clean and tidy. Polite welcome on reception and the room was comfy, clean and tidy. Well appointed bathroom and good shower pressure. Couldn't really asked for anything else and will return if in the area on business. Cannot comment on food as didn't eat there "

"We requested an early check-in prior to our stay however received no reply from the hotel. However, upon arrival the staff were willing to accommodate our request. When we went to the room the room was open with dirty bedding still in the doorway, however the room itself had been cleaned and made up and the dirty bedding quickly removed. "It's what you'd expect from a Hilton - a very pleasant, clean, comfortable, spacious room with a huge bed in a nice hotel. We enjoyed using the pool and spa and the buffet breakfast was the perfect start to a busy day. Blackout blinds and good sound proofing meant that we slept well. The area's quiet and nothing to get excited about, but super convenient for the NEC, which is why we stayed there. We really appreciated the view of the lake. "Repeat visit to hotel and didn’t disappoint. Great room this time large and spacious with floor length windows dual aspect giving the room a bright outlook. Breakfast although relocated outside of the dining space was well catered for with excellent choice and variety to offer. "

"This is a great hotel next to the train station and a short walk to the city centre. Whilst the room was very clean and comfortable, the climate control didn't seem to work, and it was a little dated in places, namely the TV and the bathroom could do with an update. The service at check-in was very welcoming, and i wouldn't hesitate to stay again."

"I took off 1 star due to some people making such a noise around 2.00am until 2.45 am Not really the hotels fault just some people I suppose. Other than that all good so luck of the draw really as to who your fellow travellers are."

"The restaurant food was great and fresh. The staff are great and helpful and we always enjoy staying, the gym/pool experience was a little disappointing with no towels because the attendant had to stay to monitor children. We had to then go get room towels and didn’t feel like great service, the last time we stayed there were also problems with the pool. also the room temperature was freezing and not changeable."

"Central location in nottingham with helpful staff and great room and hotel facilities (though not all are free). The Rooms were clean and beds were very comfy. I booked 3 rooms and all the bathrooms had a frosted glass door which was not the best for privacy. We also stayed at the weekend so there was quite a bit of noise from nearby night clubs. Overall a great stay and we would come back again if we do Nottingham again."

Amazing, staff are super friendly but beds arehard

"It was amazing we traveled up as I had an England camp and it fell onto my partners birthday weekend we were met with an assortment of cakes to celebrate my partners birthday with a lovely hand written message from the team. We ordered a takeaway, a member of staff offered to bring up cutlery to eat it and 5 minutes later at our room door was a member of staff with plates and cutlery! They are amazing thank you so much for making our stay amazing! Our only moan is the beds aren’t very comfortable and on the firm side this is their only let down as everything was perfect! "

"Marriot centrally located near shopping centre. Easy to find coming off motorway. Good location and ample parking, charged per night for parking. Rooms are clean and have all the essential amenities. Thought there would be robes as this was advertised online. Great breakfast selection, cooked well and decent temperature. Overall an enjoyable stay, would return."
