Quiet Country Cottage Upper Level

Scenic mountain retreat with beautiful views of the Ozarks. Located at the edge of Mountain View, the Folk Music Capital of the World. Our cottage is family friendly with homey decor and full amenities. Always well kept! Perfect location for a relaxing weekend with friends or family. Stay for a weekend and you'll want to stay forever!
The Upper unit has a covered, outside area to enjoy without having to be out in the elements! You can sit on the front porch bench and enjoy the scenery. Walk around to the Gazebo area and enjoy a picnic or just sit back and enjoy the views. The back decking has a porch swing and a nice table and chairs to eat your dinner or enjoy your morning coffee!
You also have a covered outdoor grilling area provided.

We now have a tiny house rental available, too! The tiny house will accommodate two adults.

Fantastic!
The cottage was immaculate, spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything that we needed for an enjoyable stay for our family of 6. Paul and Cathy were extremely friendly, accommodating and gracious hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed the views; sunsets from the front porch and sunrises from the back deck while also watching wildlife and listening to the peaceful sounds of nature. When we were not relaxing at the cottage we were exploring the many activities in the area. Among the things that we enjoyed were the Blanchard Springs Caverns, waterfalls and hiking trails, Loco Ropes climbing adventures, OK Trading Post trail rides, and music at the Mountain View town square.

Excellent place to spend time with family
We enjoyed staying here and my 3 year old son is like spellbound of the location. No other words to say about the listing. But, one small thing to mention is with out having WiFi caused little inconvenience. rest nothing to comment rather praise.

The perfect cottage with the most beautiful views!
I can't say enough great things about the Country Cottage! Cathy was very responsive to all my questions prior to our trip, check-in couldn't have been more simple, and WOW was it CLEAN!!! Not a speck of dust to be seen. The cottage had absolutely everything our family of five needed to be comfortable, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. What an incredible location! It was hard to leave. After we were well on our way home, I got a note from Cathy that my son had left a stuffed animal wedged in the crack of the upper bunk bed, and they kindly shipped it home for us. An overall exceptional experience - we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Mountain View.

2nd Stay There - Perfect Again!
This was my second stay at this property and my husband's first stay. Once again, everything was spotlessly clean and the hosts very friendly and welcoming! Very easy check-in procedure directly with the hosts, and we had a wonderful time celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary here! Definitely would stay here again and hopefully bring up more family to rent both floors! Karen & Armin

Wonderful home!
We felt right at home here! The house was cozy, neat and clean, it was outfitted with everything we needed and had a well stocked kitchen. All dish cleaning supplies were included as well. Kids loved the bunk beds. Cathy thought of every detail to make the cottage feel like a home away from home. She was great about answering our questions before arrival and helping us confirm restaurants and shops open on Thanksgiving day. The only things that would be nice to have on our return visit (and there will be one!) would be a washer and dryer (for our longer stay), a small tupperware set for food storage, and WiFi. Yes we went to unplug and have outside family time, but the cell service up there is weak which sometimes made searching for the next days hiking trails difficult. It also rained both days and after playing our fill of games and puzzles a family movie night would have been fun. Mountain View had a lot to offer that we weren't able to take advantage of due to weather and time. We look forward to our next visit!

short but relaxing trip
My husband and I were in the area to look at homes to purchase. I found this rental and was very glad we did. After a busy day, we sat on the deck and watched the animals. There were 2 decks so we did a different one each night. The kitchen was stocked with the right supplies. The rooms were clean. And there were enough electrical outlets! It was very easy to work with Cathy and her daughter on check in

Serene house sitting on top of a mountain
This is a lovely house to stay in sitting on top of a beautiful mountain. The peace and quiet there were very restful and the view inspiring. The owners were wonderful, warm people who provided an immaculately clean space to enjoy the serenity in. The open shelving in the kitchen made it easy to find everything when cooking. Touring the tiny house was very interesting, and the grounds were meticulously maintained. I would definitely recommend Cathy's Country Cottage to anyone, and it is well suited to families as well as couples or a ladies group.

Great views, deer and a Tiny House.
Paul and Cathy have a wonderful vacation rental for you in Mountain View, Arkansas. There are two houses you can select from and each have their own identity but they both share stunning views and a great quiet as you walk around.

Great stay
Great family retreat. Clean, quiet with all amenities you need for cooking or grilling out. The beautiful fall view was especially nice for our time spent during November. Two level home, would be great for multiple families traveling together. We were only ones there this weekend. Close to mountain attractions including caverns, hiking and horseback riding. Limited available TV viewing for the children during inside downtime if a concern for ones stay. Master bed a little firm for my husband and I but otherwise nothing negative to mention. The owners were super sweet and friendly and have created a lovely "home" space for travelers.
