Lake Sixteen Retreat - Forage & bird watch on site!

This peaceful, fully stocked house has an unbelievable lakefront view!

A no gas engine boat policy makes the lake perfect for swimmers, paddle boarding and utilizing the provided kayaks and pedal boat. During the spring and fall, forage for mushrooms on site in our old growth woods. In winter, Skagit’s snow birds come and go at sunrise/set to sleep on the lake, watch and photograph them from our lakeside fire pit.

An ideal place to explore, unplug, connect.

We would love to host your small event! Please message us to discuss bird watching, foraging and photography groups events, bridal/baby showers, birthday parties and micro weddings!

Guest access
Guests can enjoy full access to the lake, walks on the 1/3 long wooded driveway, and exploring our wooded acreage and stream.

You will pass a dark green building / owner occupied portion of the property to your right when driving into the property.

Perfect place perfect stay!
We were there for our wedding at Maplehurst. The house was so nice and so perfect for our group of 8 bridesmaids! Everything was just amazing!! Can’t recommend this place enough, would love to come back when not celebrating a wedding when we have more time to enjoy the lake and everything!!

Best Lake House Ever
We truly did not want to leave by the time our stay was over. We were in town for a friend’s wedding nearby and the house and property were immaculate, the views were spectacular, and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the stay. Some of us met Eve and their family dog while on a morning walk, which was also great! Would stay here again and would recommend to everyone!

So beautiful and relaxing!
Wow, pictures do not do this place justice! Such a hidden gem. 3 of us families (6 adults, 3 toddlers) stayed here for the weekend and we are already planning to go back next year! The huge kitchen and family room never felt cramped, even with all of us cooking meals together. The lake was so warm, and the green space perfect for the toddlers to run around. It really was a magical weekend, and we are mad we didn’t book for longer than 2 nights. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Perfect location
From frog serenades to kayak cruising in the lake, this gorgeous home was a perfect place to unwind and visit with family. I'm so pleased with this find! It was even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. Communication with the property owner was excellent. I hope to be back!
