If you’ve come for a relaxing retreat, you’ll be happy to stay on the grounds with plenty of picnicking and photo opportunities. Stunning gardens and walks with an abundance of native birdlife for the birdwatcher. In the warmer months, you may even see rare black cockatoos flying amongst the treetops!
Otherwise, we are only a few hundred metres from Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens with all it has to offer including a fine restaurant with magnificent views.
Take a drive up to historic and beautiful Mount Wilson or further along to Lithgow or Bell where you can cross over to the popular tourist areas of the Blue Mountains such as the Three Sisters, Katoomba and Leura. Alternatively, take a relaxed drive just a little way down the mountain to explore a variety of orchards including 'pick-your-own', quality restaurants including ‘Bilpin Afire’ (formerly Apple Bar), cafes and roadside stalls. There are some other surprises for the observant explorer! Go for a bush walk in summer or just take a stroll down our quiet street.
The Zig Zag Railway has reopened and is a fun day out - only 25 minutes drive from the property.
Complete your day with a barbeque and outdoor dining with a glass of wine, or a cold beer and watch the mist roll in as the sun goes down.
