Great location - scenic, peaceful, close to walks, hikes and sites. Spacious cabin with a great deck and outdoor fire pit area.
Had an excellent stay. Place was cleanest room I have ever stayed in. The view from the room made my wife very happy. We would highly recommend this place.
We stayed at the lodge a number of times in the past and we have fond memories of each of our visits. When we drive from Vancouver Island to Edmonton to visit our daughter, we always make a point to stay there.
The view from our balcony was absolutely amazing!! A beautiful little creek with Mount Robson in the background. The bed was super comfy and the room was clean and cosy. We loved our stay here.
Clean fresh air. Remote quiet location in the mountains. Great walks. Come prepared with food or take a short drive back to close by towns. The beds were so comfortable and the hosts were great. Kinney Lake walk a must do if you are a hiker.
Mountain River Lodge was a beautiful and cozy stay for my partner and I after having done the Icefields Parkway drive. The drive from Jasper to Mountain River Lodge was also beautiful and we saw a juvenile grizzly and a black bear along the road on our way in. We had the mountain view room, which offered a stunning view of Mount Robson with a beautiful river running in front of it. We also very much appreciated the fuzzy blanket that was left on one of the balcony chairs as it was a little chilly outside. Claudia and Curtis were wonderful hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed; we would definitely come back to stay here next time we pass through the area.
If you want to get away from it all , this is the place. Stunning view of Mt. Robson from our room/deck.
Restaurants are a half hour away but with the scenery it’s a pleasure to make the drive.
...it’s rustic ,for us that was a good thing. 👍👍
We loved our stay here. Claudia and Curtis took excellent care of us. Our room was lovely and peaceful. The lodge is situated directly beside a mountain river beside which you can sit and enjoy the scenery. Beautiful view of Mount Robson. Highly recommend!
A wonderful Bed & Breakfast in a lodge type setting. The room was spotless and the bathroom/shower though small, was spotless as well. High quality linens in the room. Breakfast is exceptional, with food preferences/allergies taken into consideration. There is also the ability to have dinner. I did not partake of dinner, but it smelled wonderful and all the other guests who did enjoy dinner, raved about it.
Since this is a lodge, there is some noise from other rooms. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest you bring ear plugs as some rooms are more susceptible to that noise than others. They also have 2 private cabins you may wish to consider if the noise is an issue. Breakfast is still included.
Lots of hiking in the area - to waterfalls & up to Mt Robson. 1 hour to downtown Jasper which was my destination during my stay. I highly recommend staying here, either for a night or two or as a base to explore.
