Wonderful stay for huge group

Classic Country Cabin
Family Christmas/New Years Celebration. This Cabin had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our big family of 18. Beautiful spacious and absolutely gorgeous views. If this place had a hot tub it would be perfect but otherwise it was amazing. Can’t say enough about it and the host. Great cabin!!!

Perfect setting
This proved to be a perfect setting for our large church youth group high adventure. With ample sleeping space, campfire for fireside chats, swimming/rope swing into the small lake, fishing and kayaking, this was a hit with the boys.

Beautiful Spacious Cabin!
We bring a big group to stay every year. It is always pristine with plenty of space for us. We have lots of fun running around the grounds and by the ponds. It is perfect for larger groups. We will be back!

Very satisfying!
We had a great time! The kids loved the lake. Extra little amenities were appreciated. We had an amazing caterer (friend of the hosts). Close enough to attractions. I would let people know about the area as you approach the house--we though we were in the wrong place. The property and house (to quote by 7-year old grandson) were very satisfying.

Thanksgiving 2020
With all the things going on our world this year, these few days in Mt. Hope was exactly what our family needed. We enjoyed time together, hiked, had a bonfire in the evening and had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving. Marley was the sweetest non-human in the house. Thank you for this time away from home and making it great.

Perfect for what we expected.
We needed every bit of space in this very large house. It was exactly what we were looking for. Property was amazing! The owner/manager of the property went above and beyond to communicate and help make our stay a pleasant one. No surprises. Would definitely stay here again!

More space and supplies than I've ever had before. It's the small things, like toilet paper, small baggies, etc that make your stay better. Easy check in and easy leaving requests. I had a big group and it worked great. Definitely recommend.

Great stay!
Our group of 21 had a great stay at this property. The house closely matched the description on the site and no complaints on the condition. Many in our group enjoyed playing with Marley, a very friendly dog on the property. Large front and back yard with picnic table, good enough for us for a game of touch football. Promptly received the security deposit back in couple of days after check-out. I recommend this house without any reservations.

Family reunion
MFL was a great central location for our whole family to meet. It was plenty big enough to accommodate 25 people. It was great to have all families in the same house and there was no need to leave the hoise. Amanda was very helpful and kind. All members of our family members were more then satisfied. We look forward to staying again during the warm months.

Great Thanksgiving/Wedding getaway
Our week at Maple Fork Lodge was amazing. Very relaxing with plenty of room for all the family to stay. We had 27 in total stay the week. The kids loved the yard, goats and games. Chuck and Connie were great in the booking process with answering any questions quickly. Richard the care taker was friendly and very helpful. I think we all fell in love with Marley too. She is such a sweet old dog. We definitely are thinking about coming back.

Wonderful Property
We had 25 people, 1/2 adults and 1/2 kids from 6 months to 16 years old for a family reunion. What a great location for the large mixed group. There was plenty of space for games and of course the lake for fishing and swimming. Everyone had a great time. Lots of sleeping room and of course the kids loved the large play area for entertainment and sleeping in a group. Our group met here, traveling from down south in North Carolina and up north in Pennsylvania. We have been traveling to this area for years and this is be best place yet.

Anazing Place
We had 17 people for my parents 60th wedding anniversary and the lodge worked out perfectly. It offered a little bit for everyone. Fishing, hunting, ATV riding, shooting and much relaxing. The property manager Amanda was just amazing and lives right next door in case you need anything. The lodge is fully stocked and nothing but food was needed for our stay. We enjoyed the many games provided at the property and the teenagers loved being able to play the xbox downstairs. All of the beds were super comfortable. We will hopefully make this an annual trip. Loved it!

stay at maple fork lodge
The lodge was great and big enough for all our family. The kids loved the pond. We have a family reunion every two years and hope to have our next reunion there again. The family room was great for the kids and they had so much to do and was always kept busy. We loved Marley and the cat. Gave Marley scraps and water. We were just wandering what happens with Marley when no one is there. Does she get to go inside the house of does she always have to stay outside? She is such a great dog!!! Perfect place for a large group!
I found this lodge when looking for a large enough space for a church girls ministries retreat. I was so surprised to find that it was in our own area! Amanda responded quickly to my inquiry and was so helpful. Booking was very easy. The pictures looked great, but we were all so excited when we actually saw the lodge. It was so perfect for our group! There was so much room for nearly 30 girls - everyone had a bed to sleep in! We really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, with updated appliances and spaciousness for several people to work. The family room downstairs was awesome for our movie time! The yard was very large and worked perfectly for our "carnival" theme. The girls enjoyed the grapes from the grapevine and apples from the tree! And the smaller girls loved the swing set, too! I would definitely recommend this lodge to people of all ages - it would be a perfect place for a large family to spend relax or spend the holidays together!

Family reunion from 8 states!
Our family has spread out over 8 states and Maple Fork Lodge was the perfect location for us to gather for a week of togetherness. We ranged in age from 2 to 66. Most could drive in (MI, IL, OH, NY, GA, NC), but a couple flew from Arizona and California. The lodge had plenty to do on the property--from picking blackberries to swimming, kayaking and fishing. There was plenty of space for the 18 of us to gather or be in a quiet spot. The porches were magnificent and the furniture ample for any need. This was the most well-stocked rental property we have used! Activities like white water rafting, zip lining, and the exhibition coal mine with the Youth Museum were less than 30 minutes away! The kitchen was very well furnished. Our biggest suggestion would be adding another refrigerator or at least ice maker and possibly a second dishwasher, but other than that we are hoping we can spend another glorious vacation at Maple Fork Lodge!

Perfect place!
My wife and I chose to get married here at Maple Fork Lodge. It was the perfect setting for us - simple, rustic, and quiet. We chose the deck on the back pond for our ceremony and it was perfect! We had 28 of our closest friends and family come and stay the weekend with us. We had a great time as the Lodge provided everything we could need or want for a weekend and nobody had to go anywhere. The property's residence animals were awesome - Marley is a sweetheart and loves her belly rubbed! You can't go wrong with a weekend here! There is plenty of room to spread out and get some quiet time if you need it - yet cozy enough where you don't feel like it's a trek to the other side of the house. The backyard is spacious enough for yard games or to let your kids run amuk. The fire pit was well used all weekend and wood is provided. The kitchen is well stocked with the basics, there's TV, games, and internet. You can hit the gas station/mart about 5 minutes away if you were to need something or downtown is about 10 minutes away or so and has everything you could need or want. Overall, this is a great property with plenty of amenities, hiking, entertainment and space - all without being so far out that if you needed something it wouldn't be a big undertaking. Highly recommend Maple Fork Lodge for your events, getaways or reunions.

Absolutely disappointed and dissatisfied !
Our group stayed recently in maple Fork Lodge Property . We encountered a number of issues 3 1) No water pressure in the upstairs bathrooms . It is impossible to take a shower !!! We were 15 adults and 4 children . When bringing up the issue to the property manager , she advised not to open any faucet , not to wash dishes or do laundry. After all that 0 results . Can you imagine not being able to take a shower during your entire stay ? Not being able to give able to give a bath to the little ones? The property was not cleaned properly ! All our children caught a very specific bacteria from the house . 2 adults were severely affected by the cat smell and hair in the sofas ... I would not want to anyone happen what happened to us ... stay Far away from this place !!

Home away from Home
We were so blessed to have found this gem! The location is not only easy to find, but it is only miles off the interstate, which makes it so accessible! We were a family group and arriving from multiple locations yet it took us all about the same time due to interstate travels. The house manager, Amanda, was very helpful thru the rental process and even during our stay. She really makes sure your stay is wonderful! Once you arrive, you will be amazed by this property. It is a quiet oasis and you will have to decide which porch you want to enjoy your cup of coffee on. Marley, the resident dog, was so happy to show us the swimming pond, even jumping in on our first tour. We had several try out the boats and swinging rope. The play gym was perfect for our little ones and the yard is flat, so lots of room to run those little energizer bunnies! The layout on the inside is great for a couple of reasons. We gathered mostly in the kitchen area and were able to put kids to bed in the upstairs bedrooms and not disturb their sleep while we continued to visit and play games. And the flip side, was when those pitter patter toes hit the ground level early in the morning, those sleeping in the basement were able to continue sleeping without being disturbed either. We shopped at Sam's club and Walmart and Krogers for our groceries that week. Because of location we went several times without it being a big deal. We cooked all of our meals there and found there to be sufficient supplies needed. We did bring our own crockpots. You will love the pantry they have EMPTY so you can place your goodies in a cabinet and not have to clutter the counter space with snacks! There are two ovens and a K-cup Kerieg coffee machine. We love to eat as a family and were able to sit all 14 of us around one table. (there are fold out tables and chairs if you need more seating) They even have a breakfast nook that seats 4 and we chose not to use that as it was not located next to the big table. So do not worry about not having seating! The sofas and chairs in the house in all the living rooms are wonderful. Warning for the couch in the basement: do not sit there if you are sleepy, you will NOT go to bed! I thought we might have issues with only having 3.5 baths, but that was not the case. And I never once heard anyone complain of running out of hot water either. There are plenty of TVs and games and toys if you do not bring your own. We are looking forward to returning in 2015!

Amazing stay for large family!
20 family members traveled to West Virginia for a celebration of life, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. This cabin was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed- and there were 20 of us! Ample parking, seating, lounge space, and the best backyard views you can imagine.

Rafting Trip
We booked this cabin to accommodate a large rafting trip and it was perfect. We had plenty of space for everyone was a great in between point for ACE and restaurants. Would highly recommend.
