While the room was clean and fresh smelling, there was damaged moulding, pealed paper from the Sheetrock on the ceiling and an old, strained regged in places carpet that should be replaced. The king bed had only one somewhat comfortable side. I never understood why hotels don't rotate their mattress to ensure even where. In their defense, the bathroom looked to be newly renovated. There were also a small coffee pot and a tray of snacks with water. Based on the bed I probably won't stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Not bad for short stays
At first from the outside structure we were very concerned about staying here. It looked like an old hotel from the pass with a closed restaurant attached. Note on the door to call for assistance and we spoke with Misty who was very pleasant to speak with. She told us our room number and combo lockbox to get key for the room. Walking in it was nice to see room 10 was updated and clean. A few repairs needed on the walls and ceiling. There was a welcome basket in the room. We decided to stay but not knowing the community was concerned for the area. It turned out to be a safe area. Its basic but was clean and for one night passing through the area this room was find.
This made for an easy waypoint two nights two and from Philadelphia for me. I got a short run in on Saturday morning and found it navigable and scenic. Would definitely stay again if life brings me east again.
Nice, big, clean room in a quiet town. Exterior was a bit oldtime and outdated. Unmanned check-in but was easy and not time consuming. The town seemed quiet and safe.
Misty is the absolute best!! Her antique tavern is full of personality & charm! Did I mention the antique furnishings?! So clean you won’t even find a speck of dust. Bathroom..pristine! An absolute hidden gem of a place!! I will definitely be back!!
There was no sign saying the name of the hotel until you got up to what you thought was the entrance. Once you get to the entrance there's a piece of paper saying that there is nobody ever on site and that if your checking in or you need something you need to call the number listed on there. The hotel rooms have pad locks on them which has a code that you get from the check in receptionist. You can't pay at the property at all since no one is at the property. The photos of the property must be old photos because the rooms don't look anything like they do in the pictures
This was a charming and unique tavern/motel. Clean, comfortable and the hosts went the extra mile to make our rooms cozy and so welcoming! In our room when we arrived, there was a basket with breakfast bars, oatmeal and hot chocolate. Also plenty of coffee pods for both days. Highly recommended!
