"Stayed in “Deluxe” private room - basically an old motel room, but had microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kitchenette. Manager very helpful, said every guest has towels & sheets provided (info on website was wrong) Not providing free breakfast or soup as stated on website, but Chateau is close to great cafes & bars. Washing machine & dryer worked well - place needs a fix up & paint. "

"Really great hostel - perfect location in the centre of the small Franz Josef town. Close to a few pubs and importantly the skydive centre. The staff were really friendly. They offered free veg soup every evening and the kitchen was very well equipped. Private room was comfy and the showers were great. Lovely touch to have the hot tub available too. Everywhere was very clean. Would definitely recommend. "

"Only got to stay 1 night but we were really happy with Mantra Lake Tekapo. We had a large 2 storey house with 3 spacious rooms and good bedding options. I was impressed that it was the first place, we've stay on our entire trip, that had 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets! Much needed for a family of 5 or more. The pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance but the Tekapo Pools were not far up the road and had great views. The lake itself and main shops is close by, easy walking. So pretty! Dining is...
