"I was pleasantly surprised by how cute and quaint the Ahuriri Motels in Omarama were. Checking in late at night was easy since we sent an email beforehand letting them know we would be arriving late. The staff provided clear instructions for how to find our unit. The stay was comfortable, quiet, and spacious. The bathroom was nice, and although the motel wasn't super luxurious, it was well-kept and clean. We really enjoyed our one-night stay during our road trip and appreciated the relaxing break it provided. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"sharon is a sympathetic, interesting host and offers a very good service with the maintenance of the cottage. we have the impression that this is above the normal average. the cottage is furnished with natural materials. it is cosy and small. we enjoyed the view of the hills here and were able to relax and drive down very well. we stayed for 3 weeks and think that this was a good decision."

It is noted that this facility is very remote and “out in the middle of nowhere.” We used it as a base to get to Mt. Cook (~90 minute drive) which worked well for us. Finally the bar/restaurant was very convenient with good food. Recommend the facility for a quiet getaway"
