Peaceful lake front cottage w/large dock and sandy beach entry

Welcome to Loon Calling! Enjoy the peaceful loon sounds as you relax on your extra-large dock overlooking Moultonborough Bay. The house is at the end of a quiet dead-end road with nothing but serene bird sounds and the lapping water. The view is breathtaking as you gaze up at Castle in the Clouds and mountains in the distance.

Enjoy the 4 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a fiberglass canoe on property (bring your own life vests). Launching is easy from the sandy beach which doubles as a great swim entry into the lake. Paddle to the right of the cottage into Buzzell Cove and you can usually find a mother loon with some chicks hunting for fish (beginning early July). Bring/rent your own boat and enjoy everything the lake has to offer! The house is just north of Moultonborough Bay where there is plenty of room for tubing or water skiing. Head north and keep an eye out for more loons!

The home is well cared for and maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked with most anything you might need throughout your stay. The newly installed dishwasher will ensure you spend less time doing dishes and more time enjoying the lake. The open concept kitchen and breakfast bar make you feel part of the fun while cooking. Prepare your dinner on the gas grill or new flat top griddle on the porch and then enjoy it on the dock. The patio table is on a large platform at the base of the dock. By afternoon, the table is comfortably in the shade.

Enjoy newly mounted ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms and recently upgraded light fixtures throughout. The bedrooms are in the north side of the property, and with the wood blinds, are plenty dark for a great night’s sleep. There are TVs in the primary bedroom and living room, both are equipped with Rokus. There is a new soundbar w/subwoofer that can be used to stream from your smartphone via Bluetooth.

Enjoy the sunrise as you sip coffee on the enclosed porch. It also makes a great reading or puzzle spot! There are large double wide doors that open up from the living room to the all-widowed porch that creates a seamless flow from the house to the lake.

In the evening, enjoy roasting marshmallows over the fire pit or just unwind listening to the loons while sitting in the Adirondack chairs.

Tap water is from the lake. Although treated and drinkable, many prefer to bring their own drinking water.

There are several games and puzzles at the property for your use as well. Some to mention: Life, Monopoly, Scrabble, Apples to Apples, UNO, cards, and dice.

Please note: linens/towels are not included in this rental. Linens/towels and baby items can be rented for an additional fee from www.getawayeassentials.com (advanced notice suggested). They will drop off your rentals the day of your arrival. Upon checkout, you leave the rentals on the porch for pickup. They will handle the cleaning!

Quick getaway
The cabin was great! It was a perfect spot for our weekend getaway. There’s plenty to do, and the owners supply everything you need to cook, games and puzzles, canoe/ kayaks, and lounge chairs to relax in. We enjoyed the fire pit, and the absolute peace and quiet. Highly recommended, we’re looking forward to visiting again!

Beautiful, clean & cozy! We loved the location & yard. The porch has stunning light in the morning! The use of kayaks & canoe we’re a lovely perk! *of note, the water was down in the lake and some of the rocks near the dock are unmarked and could cause damage to boats

A gem of a lake house
We loved our stay at Loon Calling which is a delightful lake house on Moultonborough Bay on Winnipesaukee. The views of the water and mountains are amazing from inside the windowed sunroom or outside on the dock. The house has all the quaintness of a cottage but with some modern amenities such as beautiful lighting. We enjoyed all the toys that were available to us including the kayaks & canoe. And yes, the loons are the icing on the cake. They will keep you focused on the delights of nature in this wonderful setting. Lastly, the host is very helpful & responsive. We could not have wished for more.

Amazing place to relax and enjoy the lake.
We had a fabulous time at the lake, especially at this property. The home is well stocked, comfortable layout, comfortable beds and great WiFi. Very easy access to the lake with shallow safe swimming for your young family members. The kayaks and paddle boards were such a bonus! We are looking forward to staying again next summer!

Perfect getaway
I can’t say how wonderful this home is! What you see is what you get! Just steps to the lake, we had all our meals at the table on the dock viewing the beautiful scenery. We got to see loon chicks! The house was super clean, owner was extremely responsive to us when we lost power - it came back on before expected! Beautiful place!!

We had a wonderful stay at the lake. The house is well stocked and the location on the lake is great! The four seasons room is perfect for morning or evening (and enjoying the lake views while your toddler runs around inside). The dock and outdoor sitting area are perfect for enjoying the lake outside and the sandy beach is perfect for swimming! Great place for a family vacation!

This lakefront cottage has all you need and more. Exceptional location with breathtaking views from inside the all weather enclosed porch (our favorite feature) and from the shore. Generous amenities provided with easy access to swimming, kayaking, use of dock, outdoor seating and fire pit. Nicely appointed, warm and cozy cabin vibe inside with all the comforts of home. Communication with host was top-notch and exceeded expectations. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay and would highly recommend.

Beautiful, Quiet location
This location is excellent, end of the road, a very quiet spot with easy access to the bigger parts of the lake. Home was cozy, nicely furnished/appointed and we enjoyed meals sitting inside the enclosed porch as well as out on the dock. Communication was excellent. We would highly recommend.

They’ve thought of everything
This home has a kitchen that has every tool imaginable. Beyond the kitchen the amenities just keep on going; canoe, kayaks, boat dock, fire pit, stone walkway, grills, etc. we have stayed at many places on Winnipesaukee and this was the best. Responsive host and easy check in. We had an unforgettable week!

Sara was a great host. She made sure she was on top of keeping in touch. The kids had a blast. I'm in love with the farm house details. Even though there was AC. We didn't need it. The amounts og windows eas do refreshing. Hoping to come again next summer. Thanks again for a great time!!!

Aptly Named
Small lakeside cottage aptly named "Loon Calling". We heard several loons throughout our week and even saw a few! Our family, ranging in age from 15-81, enjoyed our week on the lake. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was on 1 level. We spent most of our time in the sun room or outside just relaxing. The owners were just a phone call away for any issues that we had. The only thing I would recommend for improvement would be more lamps for reading in the evening.

Charming cottage just steps away from the lake
It was a first-time family trip to spend a week at Lake Winnipesaukee. We were a group of 3 children and 4 adults and we fit comfortably in the house. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck watching the kids do water-related activities and the numerous boats go by. It was great to have kayaks and canoes available and we didn’t have to bring ours. We also caught a couple of bass off the dock when the kids were practicing their fishing skills before they went fishing on grandpa’s boat. There are some fun board games, puzzles and books available in the cottage that kept us entertained when it rained non-stop for a whole day. We stayed the week of July 4 and we’re able to watch the neighbors’ fireworks displays. Everyone had a great time! The host was very quick to reply to my messages and she provided lots of tips for things happening around the area during our stay.

Fisherman’s paradise
We booked this location for a fishing trip on Lake Winnipesaukee. We didn’t expect much just a bed to sleep in. However, after arriving we learned we got much more. The house was fully stocked, clean and plenty of room for 5 guys for the long weekend. From sitting on the dock the view was amazing. Sara was always available if we needed her. We will definitely stay here again.

Great spot on the lake!
We spent two nights at Loon Calling for the Winni derby. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to make our stay stress-free. The sunroom is really amazing and we spent most of our time in there when we weren't out on the lake. Sara was great to communicate with and was quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommended!
