4 bedroom chalet on quiet road in the Balmoral section of Moultonborough! Located 10 minutes from Castle in the Clouds (www.castleintheclouds.org). The beach, boat launch, and playground/tennis courts are a short walk! Sleeps 10. Pets are ok, but must be leashed and under control at all times.
Features include a small deck with 2 chairs and tables for morning coffee off the upstairs bedroom on the right hand side. The porch off the kitchen has a large table and chairs, grill, and a view to the backyard with custom stone patio and firepit. Private backyard, with trees & flowers abutting all sides, no house behind you, just woods!
Open concept kitchen/dining area with new appliances, dishwasher is in the island, plenty of seating for house guests and gatherings. Washer and dryer are located in the basement/garage.
All bedrooms have a queen beds, no need to bring your own linens or bath towels, but you will want to bring beach towels. The downstairs bedrooms share a full bath with bathtub and shower, the upstairs bedrooms share a 3/4 bath with (a SHORT-slanted ceiling) shower stall. Towels, hair dryer, soap and shampoo are available for use. One couch pulls out to a queen sleeper.
Skelley's Market & Gas is a 2 minute drive located at the entrance to the Private Association - beer and wine, groceries, pizza, deli, gas, ice cream, toiletries, etc. Balmoral has the largest private beach on Lake Winnipesaukee! Raft and roped swimming area, private boat launch (I do not have a slip for rent, you must launch and pull your boat every night), volleyball, bocce, tennis, pickleball, golf cart parking, vehicle parking (with pass), and boats can park on beach! Boat to your favorite restaurant or beach bar. You can rent kayaks, canoes, or body/paddleboards at: wildmeadowpaddlesports.com on the Moultonboro/Center Harbor line.
Direct access to snowmobile trails and many hiking trails nearby including Castle in the Clouds. Here for a wedding at the Castle? This is an ideal spot! White Lake State Park in Tamworth is 20 minutes away (www.nhstateparks.org/find-parks-trails/white-lake-state-park) Golf at Birch Hill (formerly Ridgewood) Country Club with dinner at the Overlook Tavern (www.birchhillcc.com) afterwards, or ski at Gunstock, Cranmore, Bretton Woods, Waterville Valley, Loon Mtn - too many to name. Generac generator recently installed in case of inclement weather. Looking for a slower pace? There's fishing year round, depending upon your temperature liking! Local farms & farmers markets, fresh local seafood, craft fairs, concerts (Bank of NH Pavilion www.banknhpavilion.com) & festivals, and country stores. The famous Sandwich Fair is about 12 minutes away. Surrounded by great restaurants, coffee shops (Cup & Crumb, The Boro, Gusto) and tax free shopping in Moultonborough, Wolfeboro, Meredith, and Center Harbor. There are outlets in North Conway & Tilton, about 40 minutes away. The breathtaking Mount Washington Hotel (Bretton Woods) is about an hour and 15 minutes away. Take the Mount Washington Cruise Boat on Lake Winnipesaukee or the train from Meredith, you can also charter a private boat for tubing or swimming in a cove.
