Our USA phone would not connect a local call so we had to find someone with a phone willing to call the local cohost to get us in. We found out that we had been given the wrong code. "Married couple own the lodge. They are both very nice and helpful. They have four dogs. One dog bark's a lot. Bora Bora has lots of hungry stray homeless dogs. Perhaps they provided a home to some. Also, there are other houses next to the Lodge. People make noise. Need ear plugs. You need a car or scooter for transportation. Avis rental is at the Vaitape dock where the airport water taxi drops passengers off. Use the Avis Bora Bora website to reserve a car or scooter. The lodge is 3/4 mile from...

"Nir was absolutely wonderful to work with, helped coordinate shuttles to and from the airport, hooked us up with an inexpensive rental car and gave the best recommendations for activities and food while visiting. The bungalow was stunning and everything we dreamt about while staying here. Beautiful sunset right off our own private dock, great snorkeling steps away and access to all the fun of the island. Highly recommend if you don't have celebrity money to spend at a resort. Maaruuru!!"

"A beautiful large and airy bungalow with a well equipped kitchen. The veranda was nicely furnished and easily hosted our evening cocktails hours watching the sunset. Nir, the manager was a pleasure to deal with. He was easily accessed. "Everything about this property was an 11 out of 10. It was quiet and relaxing, the pool was nice and clean. The view was amazing. We were provided an extensive list of activities and eateries in the area. We loved our little bungalow"

"We had a few great days staying at this traditional cottage. The house was spacious enough for our family, it was very well equipped with anything we needed. The veranda was a great spot to sit out and extend beyond the interior spaces. The lodge is right across the beach, which although not ideal for lounging, provides direct access to the water for snorkeling, kayaking, etc. The location is right around the point where you can see manta rays and about a 15-min drive from the main town. "New, very spacious, full amenities (kitchen utensils, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, bycicles…) , clean, great communication with owners and also property manager Louana… Maybe the only thing was that the beds alwere a bit hard for our liking, but that’s a personal prefference. "Just simply beautiful. Loved our time in the overwater bungalow. Staff and service were great, just moved in island time speed. Pick ups easy to/from airport and tour companies had no issues with pickups from here. Restaurants were hard to get into on some nights, even as a guest. "

"Absolutely amazing! We stayed at three resorts in French Polynesia and this resort stood out. The over water villa was slightly smaller than the others but the architecture of the resort the beauty of the landscaping and the quality of food was over the top. This is where you go when you want to feel less commercialized and enjoy authentic love of the culture. Jackson, the Assistant Manager if the resort, was attending to all guests morning noon and night making sure everyone was having a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this resort"

"we loved our time at Village Temanuata. Conveniently located, beach out front for quick swim or snorkel and short walk to beautiful public beach. Shop close by. Transfers great timing and lovely breakfast. We enjoyed the bungalow with kitchen so could cook. also went to Lucky residents mext door, nice meals. Staff friendly and helpful. WeWill be back thanks Ada and John "
