"This place was great. The manager helped us out on all aspects she is a 5 star host. She really went out of her way to help out. Apartment is super clean, had a chance to workout in the gym and run down and get an expresso in the morning. I highly recommend this place to anyone, it was great. "

"You will not find a better location for a private stay than Casa Riva. It is positioned right in the heart of Varenna and is a great launching point for other towns on the lake as well. The bed was very comfortable and we loved waking up to the sound of water every morning. We will be back!"

"We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property. "

"Charming Stay with Incredible Lake Views! Lino's Place in Lezzeno was everything we hoped for and more. The apartment is situated in a peaceful, scenic spot with stunning views of Lake Como from the balcony. Waking up to that view every day was a dream. "I will admit that i knew this property had no air conditioning. But, booking for the middle of September, I thought that we would be comfortable at night with open windows. HOWEVER, the street noise is very loud and goes all night!! You cannot sleep with the windows open. Save yourself some misery and restless sleep. The apartment is very cute and in a good location and this problem could be easily resolved for the future by adding some air conditioning!"

"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. "The place was great. On point to the review online everything in place, clean, lots of free space for big families. Quiet and beautiful view. Amazing owners that helped us a lot in every way we needed. The only downside I think about is the mattress being quite old, older folks with back problems we had a hard time to sleep and wake up. "The view is amazing. The apartment was spacious and had parking right out front. If you have time, take advantage of the main hotel lakeside area and indoor pool/spas. Check in is at the main hotel. Use that address for GPS. It would be nice if they provided and couple of bottles of water and coffee to make in the room. "
