"The staff were really good. We were allocated a very average room and when I called reception they did the best they could you relocate us. Still not great but definitely better. Beaches restaurant had changed their menu from a week prior which was disappointing. We are very regular stayers and would like to be recognised regularly not just when we book multiple rooms. We go with hotels.com as their reward program is more immediate and flexible even tho I am a gold IHG member"

"Very clean and spacious hotel "

"We arrived early and the very friendly receptionist allowed us to check in. Our room was on level 5 facing the harbor, it was interesting watching the ships enter Newcastle Port. There is car parking under the building with an overflow outdoor section. Our only issue was a very small room fridge without a freezer. The bar staff gave us ice when we asked for it. All of the hotel staff were polite and professional. "

"The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to help. The room was renovated and in excellent condition. I loved the rain shower and decor throughout the room. I swam in the pool on the property and enjoyed that, however the pool area needs some TLC. I can see that section by section the motel is being renovated so maybe more to come including pool area. The only issue I had was that the room was not very soundproof to outside noise from other guests. I would definitely stay at Waterview again and recommend this nice place to all travellers. "

"We are a family of 5 . Also my parents came aswell so 7 all up . So got 2 rooms . 1st of all the customer service was great velet parking guys were amazing 👏 thank you so much for having us . Rooms were clean and that sea view was beautiful 😍 just 1 little thing . I wished there was kids meal like nuggets . My 2 toddlers dont like fish . So make sure if you have little ones to buy them some food beforehand if they dont want fish . Apart from that thank you Rydges newcastle 😁"

"Really nice, new clean property. Great for business travel, library and bar are easily accessible with a fully equipped gym. Plenty of parking and decent cafe out front. Well priced compared to some of the other options in the area. Room is well appointed, large comfortable bed. Small-ish table in the room, not suitable for working, but okay for leisure only (coffee/tea, iPad usage). Great shower and bathroom and the black-out blinds are fantastic if jet lag is an issue. Quietish part of town, a little bit of a dead zone, but a short walk or tram ride to all amenities. The bar in the hotel made up for adequately, and the cafe offers a solid range of beverages and meals, breakfast and lunch."
