"Great stay with friendly hosts. Tom was very knowledgable and gave lots of good advice about the places to see. We stayed in the Chalet in the garden which was nice and spacious, well laid out, lovely and quiet and also included a fan and air conditioning. The pool was lovely and warm and the breakfast was well presented and plenty of it. The availability of a well appointed kitchen with plenty of space for people to cook and eat was ideal - we only used it to store food in the fridge...

"This is a very special place to stay - the rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is not just a croissant with some jam, it is absolutely delicious and creative, lovely cheeses, tomato salads, beetroot with herbs, local meats and wonderful breads. The hosts are very warm, welcoming and helpful. There is also an adorable Labrador Retriever to greet you in the mornings. All in all a great place to stay."

"The hosts were very flexible and helpful. We had a family room with two double beds (separate mattresses with automatic adjustments) and a sofa bed. There was a wall mounted TV and a fridge (hidden away in a closet). The bathroom was excellent, with a large walk-in shower with rain and flexible options. "This B&B is extremely special and I would highly recommend it. It’s in a beautiful location with a terrace overlooking the Charente river. The rooms are spacious, perfectly clean and the pool is lovely. The hosts are so friendly and made our stay (over my birthday) really special. There is a small village within walking distance where you can swim in the river, hire canoes or visit two lovely restaurants. "Petite erreur par le gérant qui m’avait noté sur le planning le lendemain. Heureusement la chambre était tout de même disponible. La chambre na pas pu être prête avant 21h /21h30. Le lieu est magnifique. Le petit déjeuné manqué de « protéine » comme des œufs par exemple et ou des flocons d’avoine à la place de céréales traditionnelles. "

"Very comfortable, clean and welcoming. Ideal for overnight stay, staff very polite and helpful. New building 2023 modern decor excellent bathroom with large shower head. Window in bedroom was large but no way to keep it open just a little for fresh air. Would stay again and recommend it to others."

Ibis Styles La Rochelle Thalasso Châtelaillon

"This was our first stay and we really enjoyed it. We were a family of 3 and had a double and pullout / sofa bed. The air conditioning was very effective and the room very quiet. The swimming pool facilities are fantastic and a real highlight of a stay. We'd have appreciated longer hours for our kid to be able to use the indoor pool (perhaps lunchtime when the pool is a lot emptier). I'd suggest relaxing the hours in off-season also. Breakfast was satisfactory. We also enjoyed using the ping pong table. It's located about a 30 mins walk from centre of Chatelaillon / train station and we walked it. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you all the way to La Rochelle. All in all, we intend to return next year. "
