"The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. There are some quirks - there is only one loo, which is downstairs whilst the shower room is upstairs. There is also no wash hand basin in the loo. Also, the VRBO listing states...

"Absolutely loved this place. Completely isolated, so peaceful and quiet. Loved the large jacuzzi/pool, ideal for cooling down from the summer heat. Great location with fabulous views. Owner responded in good time with any teething problems, ie we had a power issue, that was easily and quickly resolved. Would love to stay there again."

"We loved our stay at Fred's house. Fred is great with communication. He responds really quickly to my texts. His house is located at the base of the medieval village, about 3 minutes from the Roman bridge. It takes no time to get anywhere in Vaison from this house. My husband and I took trips to different places every day, but loved coming back to the house, sitting on the little balcony and watch all the action on the street. I loved the view as well."

"Déçus par la maison qui mériterait un grand rafraîchissement ainsi qu’un grand nettoyage. Seules la literie et les salles de bains étaient convenables . Le bruit de la rue est insupportable et nous a valu des nuits blanches. "

"1. No towels or bedding provided and when contacted host they told us to go out to buy our own. 2. no air conditioning which was in the description 3. Pool was dirty and not cleaned by the hosts despite being there for 14 days 4.garden chairs so old likely to break at any time. Host did not respond to any of our comments/complaints. Escalated through VRBO and still no attempt by host to rectify in terms of apology or partial refund. Very expensive for what it it. Needs care and upgrading."

"We had a lovely holiday in Vaison exploring the Roman remains and the surrounding area, and sampling the excellent local wine. The property itself is very pleasant with a private garden and barbecue area and access to a shared swimming pool (which does get quite busy at times but is very well maintained). It is a gated close about 20 minutes walk from the town centre in a very quiet part of town. The host, Cendrine, is really friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Vaison has a lot to offer in...

"The owners are very welcoming and approachable. They gave us very good advice on how to discover the surrounding area. The house is beautiful, very practical and lost in the middle of the truffle oaks and lavender fields. We had a great time and would recommend this house for your holiday."
